"If you don’t have a car, it is very difficult to get around as taxis and uber are limited in the area. We had multiple taxi drivers say yes and cancel. Rooms are dated and weird smell coming from the carpet. With limited transportation, we chose to eat at the hotel restaurant which was not good. We booked through Expedia and chose a pay at hotel option - and had picked to include breakfast and access to the spa. The hotel denied that we had chosen that option. "Cozy hotel in the small town of Landry. Close to the slopes but you'll need to take the shuttle or train to Paisey or Bourg St Maurice. Very good restaurant downstairs so you don't have to leave for dinner after a long ski day. The foie gras was fantastic. "We stayed here for one short night before taking the train back to Lille. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the Bourg-Saint-Maurice train station - uphill on the way to the hotel! The staff were helpful and friendly, and we liked the aesthetic of the hotel. The wifi was not great, but that was not a huge issue for the night. The hotel restaurant was packed on Saturday night - advise making a reservation ahead of time if you can."
