"Lovely hotel, staff were so friendly and attentive, check in was easy and parking was ample. The room was decorated beautifully and we were happy with the street view. Close to town, easy to walk around and go out for a drink or coffee nearby. I will say, the bathroom was disappointing - there was hair in the shower and it was dirty so that was a bit off putting. Also, the bed was two singles bolted together but the bolt at the head of the bed had fallen off so it separated during the night...

"We spent 4 lovely nights at this hotel with a wonderful group of staff in every area including the big sister Hydro hotel up the hill nearby. We ate in the bar one evening having delicious soup starters and burgers with drinks for a reasonable £50 . The breakfast was buffet style with served hot full Scottish or vegetarian equivalent. Both were great quality and cooked to perfection. There is an inhouse bakery, which we had to sample, and the cakes were delicious. We saw amazing looking sausage...

"Staff extremely helpful under tricky conditions. With storm we had no electricity from 8am on 24th and still not connected this morning when I left. Staff put on a log stove in Bistro,managed to do teas n coffees on small gas heater, supplied good battery lamps for each resident, Manager even carefully drove in evening into part of Lanark with power and brought back a meal for an older person staying for BnB, She would not take money for that. Ever staff member there did much more that needed...
