“We were looking for a getaway and this was perfect for us and our two dogs! We’re huge LOTR fans so it was such a great scavenger hunt. The owners’ house and one other rental is on the same property, but they’re spaced far enough for plenty of privacy. The cottage itself doesn’t have a ton of privacy from those you travelled with, but it would still be great for a small family. The treehouse room is accessible from either outside or up the ladder and through the loft area. And Jill and Joan were……

“This place had an amazing staff. They were very friendly and genuinely seemed to care. The place is a tad out of date and seems to run on a budget, but the place seemed loved. Each of the rooms are decorated differently in little funky themes, but is well done. It looks like someone took a lot of thought and time to make it special. The breakfast was fine and our stay was good as well. It was a nice, clean roadside stay. ”

“Our group of four friends from college met up here for our annual weekend together. The setup was great for us with the cozy living area and private outdoor space. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were so appreciative of the bottle of wine the host left for us. We will certainly consider staying here again in future years!”

“We had four couples along with a baby stay in this home while we were in town for a family wedding. The place was great for us--so much nicer than getting hotel rooms! The property was beautiful even though it was not peak season for outdoor activities; the home was clean and spacious and we enjoyed some of the games (pool, foosball, cards) in the home. It was nice to have laundry available as well. Communication from the host was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. ”

“We booked a double room with Expedia and when we got to the hotel all they had was a full size bed. This was very uncomfortable for us, being 6-2 and 5-11. Neither of us slept much. Very displeased.”
