「The Old Red Lion Inn was great for my two night visit to the area. I arrived in Cambridge by train and chose to stay at the Old Red Lion as it was on a good bus route to Haverhill. The staff were all friendly and welcoming which makes a difference and important to me anywhere I stay. My room was fine and the continental breakfast bag delivered to my room was just what I needed. 「Friendly staff, nicely decorated and very comfortable bedroom for our overnight stay before heading to Stansted airport. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a drain smell in the bathroom and the church bells tolling on the hour every hour meant that I wasn’t very rested when I got up for my early flight!」

「Great service from arrival to departure, all the staff were polite and helpful. Room was spotless and spacious, the bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service was very good. The breakfast was continental style with lots of choice. Would we return?......yes we would.」

「Got to the place in the evening due to catching up with friends, greeted by the staff warmly, felt at ease as soon as we got there, sign in was easy and quick, and one of the staff was brilliant even offered to take our bag to our room. The room was gorgeous, nice and spacious with a TV, tea and coffee, and bottles of water. Bath and shower was great. The beds were comfortable and there was extra pillows and a blanket, which we used.」

「The Bushel staff were so friendly and helpful and allowed us a slightly earlier check-in to attend my daughter's wedding. The location of the hotel was perfect in the centre of Bury St Edmunds with the addition of free parking. The breakfast was good and the portions excellent. We had drinks at the bar & all the staff we dealt with were great. Thank you for providing a very comfortable stay in Bury St Edmunds.」

「We were super impressed with our amazing room at the Woolpack Inn. Our room had so much character, was tastefully furnished, spotless and the bed was oh so comfortable. We liked the history behind the names of each room. We had a friendly welcome and enjoyed a relaxing evening in the bar. We can’t wait to have a return visit. 」

「The hotel is part of a historic inn which was very atmospheric. We stayed in a family room for 3 people and the room was warm and cosy and welcoming as we arrived just before 9pm and it was a bit chilly in the countryside. Breakfast was excellent and in a nice dining room in a genuine rural setting. Service was friendly & excellent.」
