“Family of 4, girls enjoyed the spa whilst the boys went swimming. Could do with a few more options but I believe there's plans to extend the spa area in the near future. Would recommend for a short break. Adjoining tea room serves great food during the day but no dinner service, with very nice service - highly recommended. ”

“Clean, service was excellent, staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming. Food was nice and similarly priced to other restaurants. Got a nice pint of Guinness. Room had everything that was expected inc iron and ironing board, trouser press. I don't recall a hairdryer but would be surprised if there wasn't one.”

“The only thing i could complain about was the breakfast, i arrived at approx. 9am and all the traus of hot food were almost empty, they did bring fresh food but it was cold or lukewarm, however i enjoyed the fresh fruit salad and cereal. Everything else was excellent at the hotel, staff and facilities were great ”

“The staff were excellent. The Xmas decorations lovely. Made to feel very welcome. The food I had was excellent. There is a nice bar attached just refitted, Underfloor heating in the bathroom is a nice touch also. One of the few hotels I have had a decent sleep in their beds. It is on a busy road so during the week the traffic starts around 6.30 but not really an issue as I would be be getting up for work. They make really good proper scramble eggs for breakfast. Continental and full cooked……

“We were only there for 1 day but it was so relaxing for the 4 of us in our group, we feel rested and recharged, ready for the week ahead. I had emailed a request to the owners the day before we were due to arrive, the owners reply was prompt and they accomadated our request as much as possible. Thank you for a great stay. ”

“The service was first class and the dinner is the best meal I've ever had anywhere. Breakfast was also excellent. Sean and the team made us feel very welcome and we had a beautiful, relaxing evening in a wonderful property. Ardtara was a real treat for us and we will definitel be back.”
