“The car park was good and the bar was with a lot of choice of whatever you fancied to drink Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. “Breakfast we didn't have as it was extra so can't comment on that , the views were amazing and we had a room looking out across the moors , the room was pretty bit obviously old and creeky ,massive bathroom with bath and separate shower , the cold tap in the bath didn't seem to work ,no water cold water came through, bed seemed to be on the small side even though was advertised as king size ! Narrow corridors and clunky doors separated the rooms along it and unfortunately inconsiderate noisy……

“Small B&B which is in a quiet area, but just of main routes so easy to find. There is sufficient off-street parking for guests which is a plus. Breakfast offers a good choice for all tastes and the breakfast room, at the side of the property affords sea views which adds to the pleasant feel of what is obviously a well run B&B. The room had a comfortable double bed, ensuit bathroom and provided with tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits.I was met by the host on arrival and given a tour so I……

“Really nice clean room and the staff were more than helpful and friendly however the food was unfortunately a disappointment with the rib eye steak being of poor quality, the onion rings being undercooked and the mushrooms being cold. The wait for food was also longer than expected. ”

“We had a really enjoyable stay at Townend Farm and Julie was extremely helpful booking a meal at the Tiger Inn and also giving us information about local bus services The breakfast was a really good standard and cooked perfectly . Our only concern was that the rooms were on the second floor with steep staircases which made it difficult to carry suitcases and to access the rooms.Perhaps it might be worth pointing out on the website Thankyou Julie for a lovely stay ”
