“Situated in a picture postcard little village, everything about the hotel was top notch, the decor throughout and our room was tasteful and modern, everything was spotless and clean. “We appreciated greatly the warm welcome, amazing service, and no problem too difficult attitude of the staff. They made the hotel and our stay the success it was. Truly exceptional. We had dinner and breakfasts throughout our 4 night stay and all were good and adaptable to our requirements. Rooms were maintained immaculately. The one problem for a large man like me was the bed size. We had a twin room and the beds are very narrow. But that was the only issue we faced and we'd definitely……

“Our superior room was looking tired and we didn’t have all the amenities in our room that are described on this site ie slippers,robes,coffee maker,espresso - the listing needs to be updated as I believe we have been “missold” No lift and a lot of stairs to access our room Breakfast was not as good as expected - the cooked breakfast was poor, poached eggs were hard and there was only one choice of pastry on the continental buffet, only one choice of milk and only cubed sugar that you can’t……

“We had a really enjoyable stay at Townend Farm and Julie was extremely helpful booking a meal at the Tiger Inn and also giving us information about local bus services The breakfast was a really good standard and cooked perfectly . Our only concern was that the rooms were on the second floor with steep staircases which made it difficult to carry suitcases and to access the rooms.Perhaps it might be worth pointing out on the website Thankyou Julie for a lovely stay ”
