We checked in at 11pm on a Saturday and got a room on the 4th floor. There was loud party music coming from the club in the building next door, we asked to change to another room, the hotel declined. We tried again after 1 am and got declined again. Even with the window closed, the music was so loud that we could hear every single word of the lyrics and it continued until after 2 am.
It was also the only day we could close the window because the hotel turn off the air-conditioning for the remainder of our stay in the middle of summer, making the temperature in our room 32 degrees. Another guest on the same floor confirmed that their air conditioning was also not working and that they were also not allowed to switch to a new room.
The hotel also has 2 restaurants and serve breakfast from 7am on the 5th floor. So we have enjoyed a lot of foot step noises over our head throughout all hours of the day.
In addition to that, there’s a variety of interesting feature such as the other half of the floor being used as a hostel, the door at the second floor staircase being fully open to the mall, the random supermarket shopping carts filled in painting supplies in the hallway, the 2 prostitutes that hangs out at the hotel lobby every night, the elevator that never go where you ask it to, etc.
The room is big and clean otherwise, so maybe a stay in the winter is fine.
