We checked in went to look at the room. When we got to the room & looked around it had not been cleaned. First, the entrance was an outside entrance (motel style)- which I don’t believe was mentioned when booking. There were dried spills on counters, & in the bottom of fridge. Tub was stained & looked nasty, and it looked like there was mold on the ceiling. I felt nasty and disgusting. I went back to the front desk and asked for a different room, something I have never done before. Was told we were not the first ones to ask that night. Got a new room. Went up to the room & it was better, but still felt kinda nasty.
Here are the pros & cons of the second room;
Pros:
-The bed was awesome, my back was happy
-Good pillows
-Clean sheets
-Staff was nice
-Ice water available in the lobby
-Breakfast was OK
-2nd & 3rd floor is hotel style entrance (from inside)
Cons:
-Dated decor and fixtures
-Not clean
-Towel rack broke
-Showerhead broke, was spouting water into the wall and the ceiling
-Brown handprint on the wall in the bathroom
-Boogers & Snotty handprint on the wall next to bed
-Curtains were stained
-Breakfast bar was not stocked in a timely manner
-Very dim lighting & the lights flicker
-The lock on the stairwell is broke, so anyone can enter through the stairwell
-Issues with key cards not working
-1st floor has motel style rooms (enter from the outside)
The room was nonrefundable, we would have left and found a different hotel to stay at if it wasn’t for that.
