Luxurious Cabin in DuPont State Forest near trails and recreation.

Nestled on 16 privately-owned acres, this cabin is ideally located adjacent to the Corn Mill Shoals parking lot in DuPont State Forest, just outside of the property line of the forest. The cabin's location is perfect for those wishing to mountain bike or horseback ride in the forest, as well as hikers wishing to explore & enjoy the beautiful waterfalls. This luxury log cabin is appointed with all of the furnishings necessary to relax and enjoy your vacation. The furniture is locally-made of hickory to complement the rustic exterior of the cabin. The mattresses in both of the main level bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen) are tempurpedic mattresses, and the bed linens are high end. The master bathroom features an oversized Jacuzzi tub. The upstairs loft has bunk beds and a day bed with a half bath. All of the bedrooms have a TV w/ service provided by Direct TV. WiFi is also available.

The cabin is surrounded by a large wrap-around deck with a large built-in bench, a large outdoor dining table, and plenty of rocking chairs and Adirondack chairs. The front porch boasts rocking chairs, as well as a porch swing. Also provided are a charcoal grill, and a fire pit area with a large Cowboy Cauldron.

Our cabins are professionally cleaned and provided with all linens and towels, a starter supply of soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher and laundry detergent, and firewood.

Relaxing near DuPont State Forest

We enjoyed our stay at this property! It was very clean and well-appointed. We especially enjoyed the space and solitude of the property, as well as its proximity to mountain bike trails. We would stay here again and recommend to friends. The only suggestion I have is to improve the cookware. Other than that, it’s perfect!

Very nice home with welcoming feel. Awesome firepit. So close to one of the main trail heads in Dupont you could walk to it. Management is very responsive.

Absolutely gorgeous! Lots of privacy and beauty and close to many trails and waterfalls. We enjoyed the Cedar Mountain Cafe and a short trip into nearby Brevard. Highly recommend!

Wonderful cabin near Brevard

We were picking up kids from summer camp and enjoyed a few extra days in the area. The property was clean, comfy beds, great outdoor furniture - rockers, dining table and chairs, fire pit with Adirondack chairs. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location

If you’re looking to stay near DuPont State forest, this is the best location you’ll likely find. Also easy to get to Brevard. The home was clean and tucked away. My sons and I loved our stay and would stay in this home again.

Beautiful Cabin

The property and cabin were absolutely beautiful! Everything was very clean and the loft was perfect for our two children staying here! A few things I would recommend be changed/fixed: there were a few big potholes in the gravel road leading to the property that were hard to see since you are going up most of the way. There were also no lighters or matches and there was a fire pit outside and a fireplace inside. Luckily we had someone who had one on them or we wouldn’t have been able to start a fire. The ice maker on the fridge was not working properly and the sink in the kitchen leaked. We had the gate open the entire trip and we came back late one night from a wedding and the gate was shut with a chain wrapped around it. We were pretty freaked out, especially when we got up to the cabin and all the lights were on inside. We contacted property management and they said the caretaker had been up there to restock wood. It would’ve been nice to know that before we got home in the pitch black and had to reopen the gate and check to make sure there wasn’t anyone inside. Other than that though, we really did have an amazing stay and I will definitely be staying here again!!

Month in the mountains

We spent the month of September in Cedar Mountain and the house was very nice. The deck ran all the way around the house and was very private and lovely. The property manager was very accessible and helpful. The house was very comfortable as was the furniture and bedding. Dupont Forest was wonderful and a short drive away for lovely hikes and waterfalls. Brevard was 20 min down the mountain for anything you might need. We had a great time and loved not being in S Florida for the hottest month of the year. Our only disappointment was not seeing a bear, but we may have been just lucky instead.

Amazing cabin and location

Great location, beautiful property. Short walk to Corn Mill Shoals trailhead. Great communication with property management who were super helpful. Will definitely plan on booking again for family holidays or Mountain bike trip.

Beautiful Cabin, great location.

My family and I had a wonderful stay in this cabin. It was exactly as described, very clean and in a great location to explore the mountains. The only thing I would caution is that the wifi is not fast nor reliable. I was working from 'home' during this stay and I was often not able to join Zoom calls or I would get kicked out. The property manager was very helpful during this including sending someone from the local internet company AND upgrading their service. I cannot stress enough how great the communication was with the property manager and the willingness to help my situation. The problem is that area is still working on old DSL service and seems cannot handle current wifi needs. All that aside, we would return for a true vacation.

Birthday Vacation

This property is in a great location. Secluded and very quiet. Easy to get to Brevard and Hendersonville. This trip was to celebrate my sons 8th birthday. We had a great time and will definitely be back. He has already asked to come back for his 9th birthday. Great communication with the owner as well. Always was quick to respond. Thank you for everything! You have a beautiful place.

Well equipped and perfect location at Dupont

Professional host. House interior was spotless. Comfortable furnishings and beds. There is no phone signal, but the WiFi is functional. This is a very private and peaceful property, we had no issues with loud music like some of the previous reviewers posted. The location is ideal for adventures in Dupont, you are a 3 minute bike ride to the Corn Mill Shoals parking area, and 15 minute drive to the Hub in Brevard. Plenty of parking and the driveway is not too steep. The only nitpicky comments to be made is that the water pressure is low, and the outdoor furnishings would benefit from a pressure washing. Those very minor items were completely overshadowed by the overall quality and location of this property. Highly recommended.
