Sophisticated and stylish, this gorgeous home has it all.
It's truly "home away from home." The kitchen has all the extras that you'll possibly need to make your stay most enjoyable and convenient. Newly decorated in a contemporary look with a tropical flair, the home is located on the 'Spreader' canal, which is the large canal that runs along the western perimeter of Cape Coral.
Across the canal, your 'backyard' is the Matlacha Wildlife Preserve and endless Mangroves. You will not be looking across the canal at other homes, instead you'll be looking at Florida as it was decades ago; beautiful, natural and abundant in bird life. Manatee, dolphins, turtles, alligators can be frequently spotted swimming in the canal. Wild pigs and black bears have also been spotted across the canal along the shoreline.

You will enjoy breathtaking sunsets every night from the privacy of your pool and outdoor living room. Enjoy an evening of total relaxation in front of the outdoor fireplace. Prepare dinner in your outdoor kitchen complete with top of the line appliances and granite countertops.

The large open floor plan with the vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans provide an open and airy feeling. The living room offers a large LED TV. The living room is a perfect place to curl up with a book, or use the wireless high-speed internet service (1.2Gbps service) to surf the web on your laptop, stream television or just play games.

There is a separate formal dining room for those special evenings dinners. The fully equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar and dining nook which also has a view of the pool area and beautiful nature preserves of Malacha.

This is a 4 bedroom and 3 bath home can sleeps up to 8 people comfortably. Three bedrooms and two baths are located on the south side of the house, and the primary bedroom is on the northwest side of the house. The Primary bedroom provides views and access to the patio/pool area, and it's own private bathroom suite, and walk-in closet. The master bedroom does have privacy curtains on the French doors leading out to the kitchen area.

All bedrooms are equipped with televisions. There is an additional extra guest fee for more than 4 guests ($35.00 per person, per night).

The outside screened-in lanai area is a perfect place to entertain day or night. It offers an outdoor dining table, outdoor kitchen with built-in grill, mini refrigerator, wet bar, and a beautiful heated pool to relax or swim laps in. The outdoor 'living room' area offers a gas-burning fireplace and is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine on those cooler Florida Nights.

The private dock also provides for extra seating. It contains a patio table, chairs, umbrella. There's plenty of room to enjoy fishing right off the dock.

We also have a high chair and a pack-n-play (playpen/ sleeper) for infants, located in the middle bedroom closet.

The boat and kayaks are NO longer available to our guests due to insurance reasons, we apologize in advance. You may rent Kayaks nearby at Gulf Coast Kayak. Peaceful
We had a wonderful vacation. The owner and property manager were readily available not that we needed them. We spent most of our time on the lanai which was lovely. My favorite meals were local and delicious. They have a well equipped kitchen and the 3 bedrooms we occupied were very comfortable. I have nothing but positive memories and feelings toward this rental:)

Absolute Heaven
This property was absolutely perfect. The Hosts, Doug and Andrea could not have been attentive and easy to communicate with every time we had questions about restaurants in the area or anything about the house. We have stayed in many rental properties and by far this house was the best equipped with kitchen supplies, cleaning supplies and anything you need. We felt right at home the 3 weeks we rented and hated to leave. Thank you Doug and Andrea.

The house is nice. There aren't many things around and we had to drive everywhere. If all you are looking for is hanging out by the pool and enjoying the view, then this is the place. If you are into more active vacations, then this place is a bit too far. I would also add that beds are nice but high. They will not work for kids under 5. I am glad we came during winter time. It helped with the owners' request to keep thermostat at 75 at all times. There was no wi-fi and that was rather inconvenient for me and my husband. We resorted to using our hotspot services but that was slow.

BEAUTIFUL, COMFORTABLE, PERFECT!!!!
Let me start by saying that we could not have had a better vacation. Not only is this house in a perfect, quiet location, but the owners are the absolute best. We stayed shortly after Hurricane Ian hit, and the owners did everything in their power to make sure that their house was ready for us. And, man was it. It was so much more than we expected. Andrea and Doug are the perfect hosts. The lanai, pool, dock, grill, and outside fireplace were icing on the cake. While my husband and our son-in-law fished on the dock, our daughter and I relaxed in and around the pool. We were even able to watch the Notre Dame vs. Syracuse football game and Notre Dame vs. Clemson game (GO IRISH!!!!). The sunsets are something that you can really only appreciate in person...pictures do not do this justice. We have found our heaven on earth!!!!!!!!!!

We spent a wonderful week at Villa Lagoon. The house is equipped with everything you can possibly ask for - from a gorgeous pool with a beautiful view of the canal, the nature reserve, the sunset... to several bedrooms and bathrooms, a grand piano for music lovers, a very well-equipped kitchen... The owners were wonderful, they answered every question we might have and did everything to make us feel at home, to make our stay as enjoyable as it could possibly be. Exceeds Expectations!
We have just enjoyed a 10 night stay at this amazing property. We think it was the nicest, most well equipped and cleanest rental we have had in Florida, and we've been coming here for 27 years! It is in a very quiet neighbourhood with easy access to restaurants and food stores. There is everything you need for a worry-free stay. The owners have thought of everything you may need and more! The fishing off the dock was awesome and we saw several manatees swimming very close to us. We fully intend to return next year.

Great house and location!
We had such an amazing trip. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and appreciated. The property was great. Our family enjoyed fishing and catching all sorts of fish. We saw manatees, dolphins, alligators, stingrays, snook, and so much more. We loved being across from the nature preserve, seeing all the wildlife and not having houses right across from us. The house had everything we needed for our getaway.

Second Stay Very Enjoyable!!!
Beautiful property surrounded by interesting natural setting. Rooms far enough apart for privacy. Great private screened in pool and outdoor grill and bar. Saw many birds including ospreys and fish near the canal. Highlight this year was a bull shark chasing fish on the other side of the canal. Bring binoculars. I have caught snook right off the dock in 2018. Near many attractions like Matlacha and Pine Island. Sanibel is about an hour away. Clean, quiet and very private property that can easily accomodate three couples.

Great family getaway!
Experience was great starting with the first contact with Andrea and a Doug. They are gracious hosts who have many of the essentials in the kitchen and house ready for you. The pool area is gorgeous with unbeatable sunsets. Grocery stores and fun restaurants heading towards Pine Island are close by. We enjoyed the fishing net and bait bucket in the garage to supplement our fishing rods and reels for fishing off the dock where we caught 6 different species. We rented a kayak for the week from Justin at Grab n Go Kayaks which was great. Will definitely rent again if in the area. Thanks for making our family experience so much fun Andrea and Doug!

Very nice. Had some problems 1-screen door closure was completely broke off. 2-cold water faucet in master bath was broke we carefully put handle down and turned very carefully 3- pool was low on water as pool maintenance an had noted. We filled water after calling Karen about what procedure to do 4-This was disgusting outdoor refrigerator by bar had very strong odor. I cleaned it out hoping to rid smell Still there I then turned off and let the freezer part to defrost. To my amazement there was fish and old bait left in the refrigerator freezer section. Not what I would expect to find !!!!!Each time we had issue called Karen. Carpet by piano needs a deep cleaning also.a lot of stains. For your future guests hope the issues can be resolved. Awesome rental property
Rental property was very well maintained and beautiful inside and out. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. Great view of canal from the dock and awesome sunsets. We had fun using the swimming pool and outdoor kitchen/grill and really enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fireplace every night. Owners Andrea and Doug were fantastic to deal with and property manager Karen was very nice also. We would highly recommend this rental property and plan on definitely returning. 😀👍

First time renters - luckily a good experience
First of all, The owners and manager of the property are wonderful people who sincerely want you to enjoy your stay. While there were a few hiccups, everything was addressed right away. It is a older home so of course things will happen. But the view is great and the neighborhood is quiet. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay.

Beautiful home on the water!!
Absolutely gorgeous home. Very clean and my kids loved the pool and dock for fishing. We traveled to 4 different beaches nearby. Everything was just a short distance from the house. Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood and Andrea was so easy to work with and get in touch with. The most gorgeous sunsets to top off your days!!

The home was OK. Fishing was good but the bugs were ridiculous. I am still scratching from all the bug bites. Location is a good 30-40 min drive to all beaches - so be prepared for a drive to everything. Our biggest complaint was the AC - only able to set the AC temp to 75 was too hot for us. Most uncomfortable nights I have ever had. My son stayed in the front bedroom and his room was boiling hot everyday - at least 80 degrees due to the intense sun shining through. He was miserable the entire 10 days. Beds were hard and everyone had horrible nights sleep. Issue with the oven and owner knew it didn't heat up. A replacement was made but it did inconvenience us a bit for that installation plus my dinner that evening was ruined so thanks for nothing. The issue with charging us an additional fees for electric is ridiculous as well. We made sure ALL doors were shut and lights were off when not needed. We used minimal electricity during our stay. For the amount of money we spent for 10 day stay, I would expect the owner to absorb that cost based on the rental price. I will NEVER stay here again.

Owners were great and very helpful.
House was great for our family of 8. We loved seeing the manatees, stingrays, Sharks, mullets among other fish off the dock. The home had beautiful sunrises and sunsets and was a great place to relax and get away. The stores were not so far away so it made it easy to run and pick up what we needed. Unfortunately hurricane Elsa passed by a few days into our stay and we had some unforeseen issues arise. The owners Andrea and Doug were quick to address the issues and correct the problems. We were very impressed with Andrea and Doug and their effort to make sure we were taken care of during our stay. The property manager Karen also checked in to make sure we were good and if we needed anything. Thank you Doug and Andrea for all you did for me and my family.

Great
Great experience! The fishing was awesome! We caught a shark ,a few stingrays, and tons of cat fish! We saw a family of manites right off the backyard deck. As well as dolphins. The only thing we didn't see was alligators! House was good. Pool was great. Would love to have had more light by the pool area there was none besides the pool light and a couple lanterns . The area by gril even with the one light there it was to dark to see if our meat was done we had to use a flash light. So I diffently suggest lights out there. Rope lights anything. Loved how big the Master bathroom was!

Fun place to stay.
The owner and property manager were awesome. They responded to questions almost instantly. The house was very nice. A few things need attention such as the dock boards that are raised and loose in some areas, but over all worth the money. The only down side is that it is pretty far from some of the areas we were visiting. If you just want to get away and enjoy the weather with a private pool and fun fishing, this place is what you want.

Amazing!
Our second stay at Villa Lagoon and it was just simply amazing. The property is immaculately clean and so well-appointed. Everything was in top-notch working condition. We had the most relaxing week we've had in over 2 years (thanks COVID). Saw a pair of manatees, dolphins and netted a fiesty little blue crab from the dock. Doug and Andrea are the perfect hosts. Never had to call Karen the property manager for anything as the house is that well-maintained. Love this property.
