“This place is a hidden gem! The rustic cabins are well maintained and clean. A short walk from the cabin and you arrive at the restaurant where the food is amazing and reasonably priced. The hosts were so nice and helpful, making suggestions for our hikes and other options for dinner (although we ate on site 4 times it was so good). Our kids miss Lucky and Domino and wanted to take the puppies home :-) I would definitely recommend!”

“My group was planning a day in Sensoria which is only a 15 minute drive away. This place was off the beaten path and exactly the authentic Costa Rica I was looking for. Gerardo and Zelmina are wonderful people. I was practicing Spanish and they were excited to help me along and let me try. Zelmina can COOK! She would tell us all about every ingredient in her meals, where they grew, and how they made the food better. I would have slept outside in a mudpuddle if I got to eat her cooking. I loved……

Lage mitten in natürlicher Umgebung, einzig die Zufahrt über holprige Strasse war nicht optional … aber den Umständen entsprechend alles besser als erwartet, absolut empfehlenswert. ”

“Villa el Tucan is a gem with impeccable service! Bijagua is a cute little village close to Rio Celeste with this new adorable lodge. The owners thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The cabins are cozy, clean, airy, and they even have screens on their windows and sliding glass door. Great lil porch to relax and enjoy the view. They even added a short walking trail to a refreshing river! They have thought of everything! ”

“The place was very clean and the kitchen had everything we need to cook. The rooms where smalls and the beds confortable. We also enjoyed the fans and the outdoor space with hamacs. The pictures were accurate. We also liked the nice view of the mountains and it was close to some nice restaurant and Rio Celeste. The communication with the host was very good. Thank you, we recommend this place without hesitation.”
