I recently stayed at the Grand Oasis Cancun and had a mixed experience. The property is beautiful, with a lively atmosphere and proximity to the beach, but my stay fell short of expectations.
The check-in process was slow, with long wait times despite my reservation being confirmed in advance. The room was clean but lacked some basic amenities and felt dated for the price point. Wi-Fi was spotty, making it difficult to stay connected, and language barriers occasionally created challenges when trying to communicate with staff.
Food and beverage options were plentiful, but the quality was inconsistent. Some meals were delicious, while others were lackluster. The bars were often crowded, leading to long waits for drinks. However, I did appreciate the variety of themed restaurants available on the property.
Entertainment-wise, the nightlife and live shows were fun and energetic, offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy Cancun’s party atmosphere. Renting a scooter through the Bird app for exploring the area was a nice convenience, and returning it was simple.
Overall, while I appreciated some aspects of my stay, there are definite areas for improvement. I hope the hotel can enhance the guest experience, especially with service and communication.
