Francesca is a lovely fresh, clean and modern 2 bedroom detached property situated in the depths of the Italian countryside.

This spacious private house has been renovated with love and care, and has a well equipped brand new living/kitchen/diner, a luxury bathroom, and two good sized bedrooms (one double, and 2nd bedroom can be double or twin and has 2 children beds).

Whilst furnished in a modern style, there are traditional twists with the odd piece of period furniture, beamed ceilings and internal shutters on the windows.

The overall effect is of a very relaxing airy holiday home…

The private pool is also brand new, and is currently being finished in the garden, where there will also be a BBQ, sunbathing area, relaxing zone, and eating area for dining al fresco. Relaxing rural living!

Enter house into hallway, and on the left to :

Open plan living/kitchen/diner, with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and washing machine. Comfy seating with double sofabed. TV with DVD player. WIFI. This is a spacious living area with high vaulted beamed ceilings, and windows with great views!

From hallway on the right to:

Two good size double bedrooms (one double, and 2nd bedroom can be double or twin and has 2 children beds)

From hallway ahead to:

Luxury shower room, with good sized shower cubicle, sink, WC and bidet.

Garden:

The garden surrounds the house on 3 sides.

There is a private swimming pool, BBQ, eating area and relaxing area.

This is a brand new to the market, fresh and good value holiday home.

Parking.

The area:
Francesca is situated just 600m from an ancient traditional Italian mountain village which has a bar and shop, which is ideal for essentials and sitting with a drink taking in local life.
The property is also less than 5 minute drive from the larger village of Piazza al Serchio with all facilities including traditional shops, supermarket and Tuesday morning market when the small village really comes alive. There are also some bars, a couple of restaurants a river and a train station for easy exploring.

Whilst in the depths of the countryside, the house is well located for exploring the local market town of Catselnuovo which is a 20 minute drive, the gorgeous and popular mediaeval town of Barga which is a 35 minute drive and the stunning walled mediaeval city of Lucca which is say 1 hour and 10 minutes away. Pisa, with its leaning tower is a 90 minute drive, and one can visit Florence in 2 hours. The famous Wind Caves are a 45 minute drive.
Closer to home there are plenty of little historic villages to visit, many of which have local festas in the summer. There are also the lakes of Gramalazzo, Vagli (with its hidden village submerged by the water) and Pontecosi, and some guests love to swim in the river. Francesca is also ideally located for visiting the local Fortress at Verrucole which is a good afternoon out, with stunning views and some interactive activities for the children. Also close by is the Buffardello tree climbing and zip wire park (ideal for both adults and children of all ages with a variety of runs) where one can take a picnic and spend the entire day in the welcome shade of the forest.
The real beauty of this area is the dramatic mountain scenery, and the hundreds of hilltop villages to explore, endless picnicking opportunities, and the pure peace of a non touristy holiday ......

Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, abseits der Hauptstraße. Da die Schlafzimmer im oberen Bereich an den Dachbalken offen sind, waren die Schlafzimmer sehr laut und man konnte alle Geräusche vom Nachbarzimmer hören. Auch der Lichteinfall war zu stark. Das Bett im hinteren Schlafzimmer war sehr unbequem und laut. Ein entspanntes schlafen war für uns nicht möglich. Leider war das so nicht beschrieben.

An oasis of peace with stunning scenery
We had a relaxing,memorable stay enjoying the well-equipped villa which is in a wonderful location for breathtaking views and exploring hilltop villages, local lakes and Lucca. We had everything we needed and for the few food items we wanted there are plenty of local shops a short drive away or the very helpful and friendly bar/shop in Casciana-also great for a beer/wine after a walk/day out. Communication with Francesca was excellent before and during our stay. There are plenty of local walks from the villa, quite a lot of hills involved, however, a car is essential for exploring further afield. We came away feeling totally relaxed and refreshed having explored what must be some of the most beautiful parts of Tuscany. Thank you and we hope to be back.

Rust met prachtig uitzicht
Prima verblijf als je van rust houdt. Alles is aanwezig. Het is wel een klim om bij het huisje te komen en in het dorpje zelf is weinig te beleven dus je moet er wel op uit. Hemelsbreed zijn de afstanden niet ver maar door de bergwegen duurt het wel langer.

Perfekt für einen erholsamen, ruhigen (Familien-)Urlaub
Ein wunderbares Häuschen für alle, die im Urlaub gerne für sich sind. Mit Pool, den die Kinder sehr genossen haben und allem, was es für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Der Ort liegt in den Bergen versteckt und man sollte daher schon ca. 40min bis zum nächsten größeren Supermarkt einplanen. Wen das nicht stört, der wird eine wunderbare Auszeit mit einem gigantischen Ausblick ins Bergland haben.

Private and lovely villa
We loved staying at the villa! We had all we needed, the scenery is breathtaking. The pool was cold but very welcoming when it was a hot day. The garden is perfect. The villa is remote, away from it all. But there are a lot of lovely villages to visit. The road to the house is challenging especially when you travel with a big Mercedes Sprinter, but the longer we stayed the more casual it went. We will have beautiful memories of this holiday. Soggiorno rilassante a Villa Scorticata
Abbiamo soggiornato per una settimana in questa piacevole Villa. Siamo stati bene. La nostra vacanza si è svolta all’insegna del relax. Lunghe passeggiate, bagni in piscina, barbecue sono state le nostre attività preferite. La casa è bene attrezzata dotata di tutti i e la piscina anche se piccolina ha permesso alle mie figlie adolescenti di non annoiarsi. Vicino a Camporgiano ci sono dei piccoli borghi da visitare. É bellissimo il silenzio interrotto solo dai suoni della natura e la bellissima vista sulla valle. Se devo trovare un lato negativo è la comodità dei letti e dei cuscini, anche se dopo un po’ ci si abitua. Grazie a Francesca, host sempre disponibile e molto cordiale.

A great place to relax
We had a great holiday in this cottage. The landlady is very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of tips for trips and restaurants. The house has great facilities such as pool, air conditioning and WiFi. It is in a very quiet location on the mountain, the nearest small town is a few hundred meters away. We had a very relaxing holiday!

Maison au top
Nous avons été très bien accueillis et se fut très agréable de rentrer dans cette maison qui est nickel et qui sent bon ! Tout correspond aux photos et elle est également très bien équipée. On pourrait penser que sans clim on ne survivrait pas mais c'est une maison très fraîche. Nous avons séjourné avec un pti garçon de 16 mois qui remu beaucoup ! Et la maison est adaptée pour une surveillance facile et pour que le pti bout puisse bien s'amuser ! Forcément il y a toujours à surveiller, d'autant plus avec la piscine! L hôte et sa petite famille sont au top aussi et présent si besoin. Mon seul point négatif qui peut être vu comme positif pour d autres c'est que c'est un peu trop éloigné de tout. Mais après je viens d'une grande ville... En tout cas vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Merci encore à Francesca et sa famille 😉.

Sehr schöner Urlaub
Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit toller Lage auch optimal für Hund da alles schön eingezäunt ist. Unterkunft sauber und mit allem aufmerksam und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles da was man für den Urlaub braucht. Sehr nette Vermieterin. Preis/Leistung unschlagbar. Nur zum weiterempfehlen.

Sommerurlaub 2019
Eine schönes kleines Ferienhaus mit großen Räumen. Für den täglichen Bedarf war alles vorhanden. Besonders der Pool hat uns gefallen. Die Nachteile an dieser gegen sind, man benötigt ca 30 Minuten bis in die nächste größere Stadt zum einkaufen. Man ist auf ein gutes gelendetaugliches Auto angewiesen da das Haus sehr abgelegen auf dem Berg liegt. Wer mit kleinen Kindern dort hin geht kann diese gut beschäftigen aber etwas älteren Kindern wird es sehr schnell langweilig da sie nicht die Möglichkeit haben auch mal alleine die gegen zu erkunden. Das im Haus angebotene Fernsehprogramm ist leider nur auf italienisch. Das Wifi ist der Gegend entsprechen, ziemlich schlecht. Die Betten haben sehr geknarrt. Und leider konnten wir die Vermieter nicht kennenlernen. Ansonsten war es alles in allem ein sehr ruhiger und erholsamer Aufenthalt.

Nice holiday home in the Tuscan mountains
Nice, complete and well-kept house in the mountains near Camporgiano, Lucca. Two large bedrooms and a spacious living room / kitchen. Togetther with a nice swimming pool and sunny terrace make it a wonderful stay. The only disadvantages we can think of; - it is quite remote (you realy need your car / small distances take a long time in this part of Tuscany); -the beds creaked a bit ; - and don't expect too much from the WIFI (stability and speed). But if you want to relax in in a beautiful setting, this is the place to be!

CHARMING WITH LOTS OF CHARACTER
Spent a week here in early July and really enjoyed the villa. Children loved the pool and the views from the villa were fantastic. It’s very rural, perfect if you enjoy privacy and quiet, but the nearby village had a shop, a bar, where the locals were the most friendly people. Also close to larger towns/villages with good restaurants and handy train stations which we used to travel to Pisa, the amazing Lucca, Florence and Cinque Terre, saving the amount of time spent on incredibly windy local roads. Francesca was very friendly and helpful with one or two minor problems we had. A lovely stay.

Mooie uitvalsbasis voor dagtrips
Het huis is zeer ruim. Er zijn twee grote slaapkamers. In de periode dat we er waren was het wel aan de frisse kant qua temperatuur, maar het huis heeft centrale verwarming. Jammer hebben we vanwege dat weer ook geen gebruik gemaakt van het zwembad, maar bij hogere temperaturen zou dat zeer aangenaam zijn. Francisca en haar man zijn zeer behulpzaam en geven ook tips waar je naar toe zou kunnen gaan. Al met al een prima plek om te vertoeven.
