A gem of a find, just off the beaten track, this chateau has been in the family for generations and is now run as a B&B in a relaxed and happy way by the great grandson, Colas. It was one of our happiest stays en-route through that region of France as we headed south. Whether young families or couples of any age, everyone felt at home in this sprawling old family chateau with its expansive lawns, swimming pool, nature walks, indoor games room, gym, lounges and the lovely terrace where dinner was served that evening (dinner must be booked in advance). This was a highlight with everyone seated at a long table to enjoy a tasty 4-course meal made from local ingredients and is a great chance to meet people and make new friends. Hats off to Colas and the chef. The breakfast, beautifully laid in the dining room, was delightful with the freshest produce. Our room was very comfortable with lovely views over the garden and the surrounding fields. We will be back when next in the area.
