This could have been a wonderful experience, but because of the extreme and unjustified stubbornness and rudeness of the proprietors - twin sisters - it ended up being a disaster. While the property itself is rather charming - it sits a few hundred meters, and a few dozen switchbacks, above the valley - two substantive problems, greatly exacerbated by the rigid and willful customer non-service, combined to compel me to give warning to fellow travelers.
The first, and for us, by far the most significant problem was the lack of promised wi-fi/internet service. They alleged that it was out due to a recent storm, but being international travelers, doing some business while away from home and the office for a month, this presented a very frustrating situation for us. We found out about the problem late in the day of arrival, only because we happened to call for directions. After much debate, a putative alternative was offered, but it did not work.
As important and maddening as this problem was, it would not, standing alone, have been the end of the world. But it was compounded by another major incident, in which one of the owners was extremely rude about where we wanted to sit for dinner. Suffice it to say, it was not at all what you'd expect from someone in the service industry.
Finally, to add insult to injury, we were overcharged for food, and despite repeated requests, have been denied an adjustment to the bill. Please do NOT give this establishment your business!
