Sage House features an outdoor bar and The Bunkhouse serves adult beverages and on Friday night, Jerry serves delicious river fish from the charming Fish Haven food trailer. Also, the American Legion and Red’s serves adult beverages, daily. In season, Sally’s is open for breakfast. There is also a Subway and two convenience marts. In case you are in the mood to cook, Bunker Hill has a grocery store and a Dollar General. Other local businesses include a hardware store, barber shop, hair salons, flea market, and vehicle repair shops. There is also a post office, bank, and a health clinic.
There are a few lovely places to stroll while in town. Two blocks to the east, the cemetery is a beautiful place to walk. You are likely to see bluebirds, doves, and cardinals, a family of little red fox, and rabbits. A mile north of town is Whitaker Park with paved walking paths and to the west is Bertagnoli Park where you can fish and hike.
