“You can't beat that view. My second time here and will never get tired of this beautiful and rugged property. Have left a detailed review previously so this one is short.
This is by far my favourite getaway due to the natural beauty, simple living, being dog friendly and the feeling of being far away from it all.

“Our family loved our weekend at Highlands Lake House. Sam was amazing to communicate with. Location stunning. House had great atmosphere. We loved the log fire and fire pit. Highly recommend.
Only comment would be to Stayz that it would improve information for people with additional needs if you listed each accessibility feature rather than just a generic ‘wheelchair accessible’ comment. (Eg step free access to different areas including showers etc.) if you provided hosts with different……

“Absolutely loved the house and property. I had booked the weekend with some friends and they were amazed with the house, from the heated pool/spa, indoor fire places and covered outdoor area, there were so many things for us to do during the weekend.
Natalie was a great host, showing us around the house, even brought us coffee in the morning!
There was plenty of fire wood for the fire places, kitchen was equiped with everything, plenty of fridges.

“Amazing little tiny home, we stayed at 'the rapids' and would highly recommend this particular cabin due to its view and proximity to the river. Cabin is almost completely off grid but thanks to modern amenities like air-conditioning we were always confortable. Would return again just to unwind and unplug.”

“The property is large, and v convenient for Bendooley (which is why we took it) - but is tired, clearly has been rented our for years, and is in need of some serious investment. Most disappointing was that the kitchen was quite dirty when we arrived - the bins had not been cleaned up, in or around them, the bin drawer was broken, there was spillage in the freezer, and the dishwasher had been emptied with dirty crockery straight into cupboard. “Overall the property was very neat and tidy. Very close to shops and facilities. We would highly recommend this property.The only issues were, chipped plates, the cups and glassware were an odd mix from the op shop. Also the carparking was out the front the property and carrying bags up hill was not great.”

“This place exceeded expectations, even the drive in (we had kangaroos hop alongside the car). The place was very clean, warm and welcoming! It was in a secluded location so you felt like you were in your own little world in the middle of the bush. Will definitely be back!”
