Staff was pleasant and friendly. Location is exceptional. That's where the positives end.
I was disappointed in the quality of the room, furnishings, lighting, fixtures, and interior spaces. This hotel did not meet the standards of a Marriott. In particular, the bed was uncomfortable and the sheets scratchy, pillows thin, and blanket very thin (in winter) with no duvet.
The room was dark and narrow. The carpet was scratchy.
The shower needed updating, as well as the furniture in the room.
Worst of all, the lighting was dark and difficult to access, and together with the black and dark stripes, as well as heavy furniture, gave the room an oppressive, uncomfortable feel. For the price, this place really needs to upgrade its beds, bedding, and lighting at the very least. Finally, the reservation indicated there would be a microwave. There was no microwave, and they would not bring one to the room. I packed a coffee device to make my own coffee stronger French press and breakfast in the am, so this was very frustrating.
