“Had a great weekend at Captain's cabin. we immediately started a fire in the fireplace and enjoyed the quiet popping and warmth of the fire all weekend. Tammy's breakfasts are outstanding. Found some fun things to do in town when we finally pealed ourselves from the cabin.”

“My husband and I and two friends stayed here four nights while enjoying the Bourbon Trail. The location of the home was perfect for us to visit numerous distilleries close by (Woodford Reserve, Wild Turkey, Four Roses, Buffalo Trace and a short drive to Maker’s Mark). Chris was a very gracious host, quickly responding to a small issue we had. The beds were very comfortable. The only downside was the fireplace was not working and that would have been wonderful to enjoy on the snowy day. I would……

“The cabin worked perfectly for our family gathering. Our grandson loved the outdoor play places. The kitchen was well supplied and we made a full Thanksgiving feast. Lots of places to play games and visit. The hosts were accommodating and responded promptly to all communications.”

“We were truly stunned by this beautiful house and incredible property. Whether it was sunrise, sunset or somewhere in between, the view of the lake from the porch swing or rocker was stunning. House was better than advertised with so many interesting and cool extra touches. Loved our stay and would definitely return. ”

“Let’s start with the negative…I am only allowed to rate the property on 5 stars, instead of a WELL DESERVING 10!!! This place is amazing! The home (not house, there is more than enough character to go around which puts it on another level as far as I’m concerned) is located conveniently off the highway and is situated on meticulously maintained grounds. Plenty of space to host a larger crowd or spread out and seek privacy. We’ve stayed in numerous different areas around the country and this……

“The house is really nice, very clean very relaxing. Had a couple issues and they were resolved quickly by the owner. Was impressed on how quickly they responded and their concern over the issue. Overall it was a great stay we enjoyed the quiet location the views were great. Plenty of things to do in the area and some really good places to eat as well. Would stay there again anytime.”
