Outstanding Little Gem
The owners of this property have thought of everything someone might need for a fantastic stay. We wanted a quiet getaway, which we got - and thoroughly enjoyed but we both commented that the location of the lodge is perfect for exploring the local area too. We couldn't fault the accommodation for anything, it's superb, well thought out, and highly recommended!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. Beds were excellent and we enjoyed a good night’s sleep. Parking was easy. Liz was very responsive to any questions we had. And the lounge was a perfect place to relax after a day out. We were only 2 but 4 people would be very comfortable. Jean

The Lodge is a beautiful cottage with fabulous enclosed gardens, love it and the owner is lovely
This is the second time my daughter and little granddaughter and me stayed at The Lodge. My other daughter and 2 grown up grandchildren one of who was up home from her job in London for a few days, came to visit us and my daughter loved it so is going to try to book for her and her husband if available later in the year. The whole cottage has beautiful fittings, kitchen ware and furnishings

Wonderful
Fantastic stay in this beautiful lodge. The little gate house building was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Good location to get to the coast. Berwick upon Tweed was 10mins away and we went to Edinburgh on the train from there. Host came to say hi and pass on her info if we needed her but we were then left alone. Beautiful short break.

Good with some negative points
Everything there you need for a stay, everything works as it should. The fence is painted with tar so it smells not good if you sit outside. Inside theres a lot of room freshener which you have to love otherwise its uncomfortable. The WLAN was very good. Its a little bit old fashioned but clean and working. We felt a little bit disturbed by the loud lawn tractor that provided bad air when we were having breakfast on the terrace. A good point for starting to activities all aound the sorrounding area if you travel by car.
