1) My 89-year-old mother was put in a room with six steps to get into it (we were told “one, maybe two”). Once in, she couldn't really leave. 2) My room had someone else living in it, and the door between our room and the next suite had no functioning lock. 3) My room was filthy. 4) My room had no clean towels, someone else's clothes, and dirty laundry in the hamper. 5) My room had no telephone. 6) My room was on the third floor, so I had to go down two flights and across the building to my mom's room to use her phone to report problems (and I have a bad knee) -- three times! 7) The bed had some sort of biting creature in it (I woke up covered with bites). 8) The mattress was so bad, I threw my back out after sleeping on it.) 9) I asked the front desk for a phone in my room and was told there were no available phones. 10) I asked to be switched to a clean room and was told it wasn't possible. 11) I went to the front desk and asked for clean towels and was told it wasn't possible. 12) A pocketknife on the bedside table went missing, while housekeeping (or the people in the next room) came in to clean out the clothes and other personal possessions from our room. 13) After housekeeping "cleaned" our room, the bathroom was still dirty, no clean towels, and someone else's toiletries all over, tables were layered in dust, etc. 14) There were no chairs, table, microwave/mini-fridge, coffee, etc. in our room; it was just a bed & bathroom.
