“The Gecko Bungalow is really something special! Scott and Michelle are incredible hosts -- when one in our party fell ill, they went above and beyond to make sure he was well cared for and comfortable, and they made sure we had everything we needed during our days there. Their hospitality is genuine, and you can see their passion for connecting with their guests. They make it feel like you're visiting them as friends, and aren't "just a customer" renting a room. The bungalows are super comfy……

“We were very pleased with this unit. We only stayed a couple of nights on our way through Belize City. Carolyn was very responsive and checking in and out was very easy. We didn't have a car, so we ended up walking to the Best Western nearby for most meals. The home was immaculate! It worked perfectly for our family of five. ”

“Absolutely loved our stay at the Seahorse Cabana! We have frequented the island many times over the last 10 years, and this was our first stay here, won’t be the last!! This would be my top pick in the future. Beautiful, well-maintained grounds, well-appointed cabana with everything you could need to feel at home, and courteous staff always around and willing to help. Loved the tropical setting as well. 5 stars!!”

“I cant say enough about James ( audrey was not there during our stay). James communicated very wel prior to our arrival. We stayed one night and wanted domething close to airport as we were flying to Dangriga the next day. He greeted us upon arrival and showed us around on the property. We got in around 4 pm and since his house is not located near a restaurant or shops, he volunteered to take us to asupermarket to get some groceries. How nice of him to go out of the way to accomodate us. And it……

“I didn’t know how far this would be from the center where you get off the water taxi. I recommend a golf cart or taxi. The property is just down from the airport and is safe and quiet around you. We love Caye caulker and will be back.”

“The pillows were flat. The mattress uncomfortable. It was clean. The workers were great and helpful. Unhappt with extra fees not shown when I purchased room. Room cost me about $50 more than advertised cost.”

“Great stay with Velento! This cottage is very close to the airport, so skip the taxi. It is a very quaint studio style property suitable for a couple or maybe a couple with one smaller child. It’s not large, maybe 400 sq-ft but very well appointed and equipped. The grounds are maintained daily and to perfection. Pick up some bug coils at the local grocery to combat the tiny sand mites (that are everywhere on the islands). The dock at the main property is a short walk away and the main town area……

“Staff was very pleasant, but communication was difficult at best. I would recommend future guests to make sure you have WhatsApp or you could feel very isolated. The room was very clean, but not what we expected. Pictures did not seem to be a realistic representation of the property. ”
