We booked Room2 for it's central location in Belfast, and because it was affordable. We didn't realise at the time that it had only just been built, so it is brand new. You could certainly tell that it was less than a year old when inside, it was immaculate. The reception area is shared with the cafe/restaurant and was always busy and had a good feel to it. The staff on reception were friendly and more than happy to answer any questions we had. Our room on the fifth floor was spacious, clean and in a good state of repair.
The only negatives for me were, the bed was uncomfortable; the springed mattress seemed very cheap and pillows were lumpy. We also had a connecting room to the one next door, which meant we could hear everything through the joining door. This wouldn't necessarily be an issue, though on the first night of our stay the neighbours came home late at night and put the TV on really loud.
Otherwise, I can't fault this hotel; it's modern, safe, had friendly staff, clean and right in the heart of Belfast. It is a 5 minute walk from the city hall where the Christmas Market was situated. I would definitely recommend Room2.
