Stay on Harbor Island this Summer! Pet-Friendly Bungalow with golf cart, just a block to the beach!

Break Time is a classic beach bungalow situated on a lagoon and is just a short, 5-minute walk to the beach.

The screened porch extends the entire length of the bungalow and the high rooftop deck provides panoramic views of the island, lagoon, and rookery with nesting snowy egrets. The home offers a king primary bedroom and two twins in the second bedroom. The master has an ensuite bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The second bathroom has a shower. This bathroom can be accessed through the twin room or living room.

Pet Friendly: Two dogs max. $150 per pet, plus tax.

Staying on Harbor Island includes access to the pools, fitness center, tennis courts, and basketball court. Harbor Island is a secured island that does require all guests to have a car pass to access the island. Guest must provide car pass total before their arrival. Parking is available for up to 2 vehicles max. Resort access requires a car pass to enter. Information for this entry pass should be gathered at booking or a minimum of 14 days before arrival.

As our gift to you for booking with us, we offer free admission to select Sea Islands and Beaufort attractions. Called the Xplorie Program, our guests will receive one free adult admission ticket, per night stay, to attractions like the Kazoo Factory and a free kayak rental. It’s our way of saying, “Thanks!”

Summer Getaway
We had an awesome time on Harbor Island and in the home, Break Time. The roof top deck allowed us to see lots of wildlife from birds, snakes, turtles and alligators. The home was cozy and close to the beach. Family and friends were staying in other homes on Harbor and we all met and ate and enjoyed each other’s company. The home had central vacuum system which made it very easy to get sand off the floor. Natural Retreats, the managing company were extremely nice and knowledgeable. Their customer service is second to none: before during and after our stay. We had one of their homes in the past and were grateful when we heard this home was with them as well.

Perfect Getaway
This was my 7th time at Harbor Island. I finally introduced this beautiful place to the love of my life. He was really impressed with the beautiful and comfortable house. It was our first vacation together. Each evening we would sit on the swing in the screened in porch to just talk and listen quietly to our favorite tunes. We will come again.

Wonderful
This was my family's second time staying here and it was better than before. It's the perfect location to the neighborhood pool and private beach.. Short distance to hunting island as well. The house was super clean and the golf cart was a bonus!

Porch Getaway
This was a very well kept property. Our family loved , loved the screened in porch complete with a hammock, porch swing and rocking chairs. We spent a lot of time out there early in the mornings and afternoons talking , laughing, and reading! The neighborhood and neighbors were fabulous and very welcoming and friendly! The marsh view and star gazing porch was amazing! The property came with a golf cart for easy access to the pool , beach access, and other amenities on the island. The kitchen was well stocked and we didn’t need for anything. The staff communicated storm warnings to us and checked on us upon arrival. They were so nice but did not hinder our stay in anyway. I’d highly recommend this house and stay again. It was perfect for our family of 4 and poodles.

Met our needs nicely!
This house was perfect for our Thanksgiving getaway. The location was convenient to Beaufort and Hunting Island State Park, and since it was a pet-friendly unit, our dogs were able to join us for the holiday. We hope to rent this unit again!

Great House!
This house was extremely clean. It was a short walk to the beach but the golf cart was great for hauling our stuff to the beach. We enjoyed the hammock on the screened in porch, and especially enjoyed drinking our coffee on the roof top deck as we watched the birds around the canal. This was our first trip to Harbor Island and we could not have had a better time! It was very quiet and relaxing vacation.

Very disappointed
The location is great, but this house is in disrepair. The grill didn’t work. The lock on the sliding door was broken. Ice dispenser was broken. No lights on the golf cart and the windshield is broken. We were given 3 different wi-fi networks and had to call to finally get the right one. Intake vent was obnoxiously dirty. If it were my choice, I would recommend that VRBO remove this property. It certainly does not meet their normal standards. There are not two tub/shower combos- one tub/shower, one shower. I have never posted a bad review on VRBO, but this property earned it.

Was a great place 2 years ago...now? Not so much
It’s a decent place but the AC couldn’t handle temps in the upper 80’s & the Mgt company didn’t really do anything. One person I emailed later never responded. Several windows are so old/warped we had to put tape across the bottom to keep the cool air in. There were too many bugs in the house for us & it was just not as clean as it should be. For example the floors were so dirty our feet were black after walking around barefoot for about five minutes. One base cabinet in the kitchen looked like it had black mold all in the bottom but not sure. And there were not enough outdoor trash cans at all for a weeks stay. We will not rent this house again.

Great time in low-country
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the property. The house was nice, the location was great for experiencing the area around Beaufort. We especially enjoyed watching the turtle patrols on Harbor island and hunting island. The only negative is the house could use a deep cleaning especially around corners and behind furniture. This became apparent for us when a cockroach came crawling out from behind the bed on our last night there. Ruined the night for my wife. But otherwise the property and location are great for a vacation on the beach.

Paradise on earth
We had an amazing stay on Harbor Island!!! It was a perfect place to stay with my wife and girls. Close enough to the beach to easily walk back and forth. No big crowds on the beach. Hunting Island State Park is beautiful and a must see. A very relaxing vacation spot. The worst part was having to leave.

We ended up here at the last minute after our plans for St. George Island were changed due to hurricane Michael. We'd never been to Hunting Island & Beaufort area before. We had such a good time exploring! Break Time was perfect for my husband & I and our 4 legged kid "Buddy". We enjoyed the Harbor Island Community and near-by Beaufort. The house was comfortable and well furnished. We had everything we needed and then some. Not sure when we'll return, but we know we will! Thanks for making your home available..

We loved this property! Every morning we watched the alligators and turtles swim in the lagoon in the backyard and in the afternoon we walked across to the beach! The beach felt like it was ours because there aren’t very many people there...we loved that!

Well loved and cared for; many personal and comfortable touches.
We felt very privileged to be guests there and live at the beach for a few days. It feels like a real neighborhood and the charms of the island were all around us. The cold didn’t slow us down at all and gave us big appetites for all the shrimp we bought at Bradley’s. A caring note: The bottom step on the back staircase is wobbly; an accident waiting to happen. Break Time
We stayed at Break time just last week for the first time. Natural Retreats (property managers) were easy to work with and very responsive. This is our 5th time staying on Harbor. We have stayed in large houses before with 10 people. The house was in a great location (close to pool and beach) and was perfect for a family of four (and our Golden Retriever). The kitchen was well stocked and the living space was a great size. It has a beautiful front porch with a porch swing, rocking chairs and a hammock. The back of the house has great views of the rookery, which we enjoyed immensely. The golf cart is a great added bonus. The only thing I can say about this house that needs some work is it needs a good cleaning. There were lots of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and I found many more around the house. The floors need a super deep cleaning. The house is not new and not fancy. Overall, we would stay there again, too many good things about this house not to stay here again!
