“The Peace Lodge was one of our favorite stays to date. Randal (host) was amazing and provided all of the information we needed and more. Super accommodating. Best host we have had so far. The house itself is one of a kind and incredible. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 5. It had everything you could ever need and more. Everything inside is top notch. The location was perfect. It was an adventure to get to and then once there, had a ton of great features. The multi level decks……

“The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation.”

“Booked it for a weekend getaway before the kids kids started school. The cabin is beautiful, the scenery is even more beautiful, and the area is actually really close to my parent’s small vacation home and we’re able to visit them while we were there too. We will hopefully to get to book it again soon. We really enjoyed it. ”

“Overall simple and clean cabin in the woods. Good communication from the host. The listing accurately depicts the cabin interior. The bed was comfortable, nice linens, and very clean. Like some others mentioned, it was a bit close to the neighbors so if you want total privacy its not the place for you. But we lucked out and the place was pretty empty. My only suggestions would be to add a picnic table (or something) on the large deck for outdoor dining (there is a table, no chairs). Also the……

“This home is immaculate! Spacious and room to play and unwind after a long time in the car. The land and huge lawn provided opportunity to sit on the porch or walk down the lane to find and listen to the bullfrogs, see a fawn and doe, rabbits, plentiful bluebirds and goldfinches. The wild berry bushes and plentiful milkweed and cattails entices even more pollinators and wildlife. Truly enjoyed our stay. There was a little glitch upon arrival that the host was quick to respond to and help us……
