“This hotel has a very nice view and is a great choice for shooting or watching the stars. Their service staff is very friendly and will assist you very well with things to do at the top of the mountain to fix inconveniences. The rooms are slightly smaller than similarly priced hotels, but I think the starry sky at night definitely makes up for it, and the balcony on the side of the house offers a great starry sky experience. “My sister and I stayed at the Bird's Nest in late Sept. 2024. It was fabulous. Very quiet and comfortable. We loved the deck for watching the sunrise/sunset with a glass of wine. Very quiet. The kitchen was so well stocked. The location couldn't have been better for visiting Mesa Verde. Jeff and his wife were wonderful hosts - answered questions quickly and were available for restaurant recommendations :)”

“Our stay at the ranch was a wonderful surprise! This beautiful cabin is comfortable and a perfect place to kick back and relax. We especially enjoyed the porch and mountain views and stargazing. The hot tub was a great benefit for our aching muscles after several days of hiking. The kitchen was well-appointed. I especially appreciated multiple coffee options and the to-go cups! Beds were comfortable though crazy high. A wooden stool for the second floor bedroom would be appreciated. Loved……
