“My husband and I enjoyed this lovely "hideaway" for our 15th anniversary! We had a quiet, private retreat for a day before having our 9 year old son join us the next day. All of us loved the outdoor kitchen/screen house area and hope to some day build something similar at our own home. The outdoor shower was also a big hit for each of us. We didn't use the campfire pit and barely visited the stream during our stay, but would have loved to if we had stayed longer. Inside, the cabin was comfy and……

“We were looking for a quiet, affordable cabin with privacy as a place to write and relax. This cabin was perfect. It was close enough to run to town for an extra sweatshirt when it was cold a couple of days, but at the end of a dirt road for quiet when we wanted that. The communication was good and Victor and Judy next door were very helpful. We used the kayaks and life vests, swam off the dock, and the sunfish were biting like crazy. “We stayed stayed there for three nights and skied at saddleback. Easy ride to the mountain, town and the grocery store. It was a cozy cabin with everything you needed. It had a great porch with a nice of view of the lake. Will be coming back.”

“This place is great, it has all of the comforts of home. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. The camp was very clean and I'm a bit OCD, so this place really made our stay so nice. We had a fire, cooked out, had family visit, watched movies. We brought our pets, Tessa and Petals, not much we could ask for. I wish there were outside lights on both porches and the grill could use a grate that fits and a full size coffee maker. Other than that everything was perfect, the kitchen……

“As a kid my parents used to take us to Porter Lake swimming. Now over 40 years later, I was able to share this beautiful lake with my wife, daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. We loved being able to look out at the lake either from within the house, or from the deck. The walk to the water's edge provided an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and share nature with my grandson. Overall, a very enjoyable few days.”

“The view was amazing. The cabin tho was nothing like expected. It's currently being renovated, but the walls are nothing but installation, the flooring isn't finished at all. There is electricity and tv, but no water and the bathroom is not finished but there is a port a potty outside that is completely disgusting. Overall the view is great but the place definitely needs a lot. ”

“We anticipated a rustic old cabin, but we did not anticipate health and safety issues or inaccurate amenities in the listing. There were no working smoke detectors, even with a wood burning stove in the cabin. There were no CO2 detectors and the furnace filter was neglected and dirty. An outlet exposed without a cover and there was some type of leak in the bathroom that caused the floor to be moist/wet. The listing stated they have WiFi, but the DSL was not operational. We would have been better……

“Was beautiful and quiet. Perfect for a gathering. BUT hot tub overheated once and was 111 (WAY too hot to get into), and it kept tripping the breaker so had to keep resetting it. Also departing conditions says to put trash in dumpster. Couldn’t find a dumpster anywhere on the property or road, ended up having to bring it home in a car. But over all was a great place to stay. May go back again with family. Was beautiful and just want 6 mommas needed for a Mother’s Day weekend get away. ”

“Had an overall wonderful 3 night stay! The cabin is super cute and cozy with everything you’d want for a weekend away. Everything was very clean, well kept, and stocked with necessities. It is off-grid so expect to put some work in to be comfortable (but that’s kind of the point haha). The fire was awesome and kept us very warm the whole time despite it being mid January. “Everything about the cabin was amazing. I loved that it was pet friendly. The cabin had more than enough space and we felt right at home there. The yard was big enough for our dog to run around and have fun. We will definitely be coming back cause there is so many trails to ride out there for us.”

“Nicely decorated and clean cabin. Very warm and beds are comfortable. It was perfect for myself, husband and 3 teenagers. Close to Saddleback ski resort . My only complaint is you have to walk down the driveway of the cabin behind you. They had big SUV, sleds and toys blocking the walkway. It was a challenge to walk down to the cabin. We would definitely stay here again as that was a minor issue. Just make sure you wear boots in the winter.”
