The Hill Country Pearl is designed with restoration and reconnection in mind. No grit, no pearl. Similarly, our most precious relationships experience irritants, and we must be intentional about prioritizing those we love and value most.
This quaint 2-bedroom cottage was originally an old church moved from South Congress in downtown Austin to this tranquil hill country hideaway. The cottage features 1 queen bed, 1 twin over full bunk bed, 1 twin trundle bed, and 1 futon. With 5 beds, this home comfortably sleep 6. Please note, as seen in pictures, we kept the original structure of the beams, so the bedroom walls are not fully enclosed. All linens and towels are provided as well as basic spices, k-cups, and basic toiletries. There is a full-size washer and dryer, iron and board, propane grill, picnic table, firepit, Bluetooth speakers, and plenty of board games for your entertainment. The lake is too low for a boat, but the lake bottom now serves as a beautiful hiking or running trail. Finally, enjoy a fun dance party or a slow, intimate dance with the fully functioning disco ball.
Celebrating a special occasion? With enough notice, I can prepare the house with balloons, flowers, champagne, etc (within reason) prior to your arrival. We can arrange logistics and payment once your stay is confirmed.
There are 2 cottages on the property. You will enter at the gate and head past the first blue cottage down to the Pearl. It's the white cottage on the lake at the bottom of the driveway.
