The first room I was given was dirty, leftover fried egg stuck to the counter, room was run down, felt unsafe, you could see the sun shining all the way around the door frame. The first response when I asked to be moved was that I would have to wait for housekeeping to inspect the room, as though my word that the room wasn't in satisfactory condition wasn't sufficient. I was ultimately given another room without having to wait for housekeeping's blessing; the 2nd room was better but still in need of more thorough cleaning & maintenance. There were no kitchen towels, dishcloths, pot holders, was assured by housekeeping that they were ALL in the laundry but would be brought to my room as soon as possible. Two days and no kitchen towels, it wasn't worth pursuing any further with the indifferent staff. The toilet wasn't working properly, it literally took a minimum of 4 flushes. During the night I found a bug on my ankle, not sure what kind. I've stayed here several times, have gotten inferior rooms more often than not. I can't fathom this level of disregard for guests in off season. There are better maintained hotels to choose from at similar prices. I'll gladly pay more for a more positive experience. The only things this place has going for it now are location & low parking fees.
