Great stay for large family

This home was great to entertain my four adult sons and their families. There was enough space for people to gather to chat, watch TV, or play games. The game room was well equipped to keep everyone busy and having fun. We made many memories that we’ll treasure.

Great place for a stay.

This is a lovely older but remodeled home that now has all of the modern conveniences, located in a sweet town (Athens) near both Chattanooga and Knoxville, and home to Tennessee Wesleyan University. If you are planning a larger group, there is only table service for 4, and limited amounts of other kitchen supplies, but otherwise a terrific stay.

Family get together for a wedding

We were delighted with the amount of space in the rooms. This is an older home with ambiance. The kitchen was modern and well equipped for our needs. The location was in a nice neighborhood & close to stores.

Family Christmas

We had a wonderful family Christmas at this home. We shared the home with our adult children and had our kids and grandkids visit. The Game room was a hit with the adults and children. Endless games of air hockey and packman with our grandkids. The Livingroom was a comfortable place for board games and just sitting around and talking. The Christmas decorations were a nice touch for the gathering.All of the amenities worked well, and the house was clean. We are frequent users of short-term rentals, and this was one of the best.Our youngest grandson asked if we were going to stay at the house with the game room the next time we visit. :)

In town Option

We were attending a wedding and while most rentals were 30+ minutes on the country roads we appreciated this house in town. Queen and kids room (bunk bed) on main floor with two full bathrooms. Rest of bedrooms on second floor share a bathroom with tub only. Third floor has a fun game room. Stairs are steep and we appreciated the gates for the littles. House was clean and nice. Creaky old steps and floors but love a good, old house! ❤️

Nice House but had a Roach Issue

We recently stayed at this rental and there's a lot to like about it. The house was well-decorated, spacious and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the upstairs game room was a hit. However, do not stay here unless you don't mind unwanted visitors. There was a noticeable roach issue. We seen multiple roaches during our stay, which was hugely disappointing given the overall cleanliness of the house. Encountering roaches was unsettling and took away from the experience. If you are not sensible to roaches, I'd would recommend this house but I hope the owners can address the roach issue for future guests. I will never stay here again.

Good times in Athens!

This property was great for us. The pics and description accurately reflect it. It is a h home built in early 1900s, but redone throughout while also leaving the original charm. Two things, we couldn’t get the front door to open so we used the side door only, and we couldn’t get the windows opened in some rooms to let air in (but there were fans in the rooms). The listing said fire pit and we did not see the fire pit. In some areas the stairs are not the regulation height (step to the 2nd floor bathroom is a bit steeper than normal). Living room and dining area were a great space for visiting with family and playing games. I would recommend grabbing your own laundry detergent and spices if you plan on doing laundry or cooking. Great place!
