Satisfy your cravings for that far-away retreat with a stay at this secluded but not isolated vacation rental cabin for 2! This 1950's 1-bed, 1-bath home has been perfectly renovated with modern amenities and outdoor hangouts, like the new deck that stretches over the Pacolet River and screened porch, just off of the bedroom. It lies just 3 miles from the heart of Tryon, 15 miles from Tryon International Equestrian Center, minutes from Asheville, and a day trip to Pisgah National Forest!

Despite its recent updates, '55 Riverby Lane' has maintained its nostalgic feel - noticeable in the stone wood-burning fireplace, old-fashioned gas stove, and the rustic hardwood floor. Modern amenities perfectly contrast the latter creating a comfortable and convenient home-away-from-home!

Prop up your feet on the living room's plush furnishings, where you can dive into a new novel or binge watch your favorite Netflix shows on the flat-screen Smart TV. Just a few steps away, you'll find everything you need to whip up a full meal in the well-equipped kitchen, if you desire to eat in!

Unwind on the furnished porch or within the protected boundary of the screened porch, sipping a nightcap as you listen to the calming sound of the Pacolet River.

End the day with a hot shower in the full bathroom, before slipping under the covers of the king-sized bed. In addition to the plush bed, the bedroom also features a vanity and a closet, so you won't have to live out of your suitcase!

You'll also be close to numerous outdoor adventures, like hiking, mountain biking, zip lining and more! The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just over an hour north, while the Pisgah National Forest is about 50 minutes away. Saluda also offers access to the previously mentioned activities. Enjoy an unforgettable trip down one of the 4 nearby rivers or go for a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Visit during the fall to experience the foliage's peak color change!

Make sure to check out the hip town of Asheville, located just 40 miles north! Tour the Biltmore Estate, sample delicious brews at one of the area's many breweries, dine at eclectic eateries, peruse art galleries, and finish the day with a live concert at The Orange Peel.

There was a reversed air conditioner in the wall for heat which I cabin was freezing when we got there and the only other source of heat was in the bedroom it had a gas heater in the wall which I was very uncomfortable with didn’t like yo sleep with a lit flame in the room or freeze to death the bridge getting over the river to get to the cabin was very very unsafe was all rotted out so the placed planks across so you can drive over at the end of both sides of the bridge was a foot drop which almost bottoms out your car we had to supply our own fire wood for the fire place to try to keep us warm which the fire place was very nice that was the height light of the cabin it was very clean and cozy

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Close to Tryon, Saluda, and Landrum, SC which have quaint Main Streets with nice restaurants, art galleries, and other shopping. Don’t miss Pearson’s Falls for a nice hike to waterfall.

Perfect sanctuary
This place was the perfect escape for me and my husband. It was so peaceful listening to the river while sitting in front of a fire snuggled under a blanket. Great location close to fantastic restaurants and shopping. Bed slept great too. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Cozy Cabin!
Highly recommend this property for an easy getaway. It was spotless, so well-equipped, very comfortable and charming. Unique furniture pieces, the owners art and the babbling river lulled me into complete relaxation. I especially loved the very comfortable bed and how easy it was to settle in. The hosts are wonderful and made check in and out seamless. They spent their dinner hour solving my inability to navigate TV and Netflix technology! Wifi is great! The location is another plus. You are nestled in the woods yet minutes from charming downtown Tryon. This is perfect for a couple or a single person.

Peaceful Cottage by the river
We completely enjoyed our stay and treasured the sound of the water as it ran over the river rocks. The vintage stove was a pleasure to use and we looked forward to relaxing on the screened porch and watch the stream. The one time we needed to contact the property manager, they were so helpful and responsive. Our stay was truly enjoyable.

So happy to get-a-way
This home was lovely with recent renovation. If you want to use the fireplace, bring your own wood. As far as pandemic caution, we found the place very clean. However, there was spillage on kitchen floor in front of cabinet for plates, cups, etc. Also spillage in front of stove. I assumed the floor had not been mopped. With cleaning fee of $ 118.00, I would expect mopping and vacuuming to be complete. I balked when considering this place to rent based on the high cleaning fee. Due to the distance we were willing to travel from our home, this place met our criteria for getting away from home during the pandemic. The Pacolet River is wonderful to see from inside or outside the home and the sound of rushing water all night and day was blissful. It was safe and very refreshing. All needed kitchen pans and gadgets were readily available. We ate all our meals in.

This place is perfect! Well stocked, clean, quiet and the river is so peaceful! We really enjoyed our stay. We did lock the key in the cabin accidentally and had to call the property manager. He answered immediately and was able to help us. Overall this property is very well priced and the owner and property managers are top notch!

Excellent!
The cute cabin was perfect as a quick getaway for some peace and quiet. The cabin was nicely decorated and immaculately clean. I so enjoyed the deck and screened in porch where I listened to the flowing stream right out the front door. There was lots of hiking to beautiful water falls. I recommend you bring your own food as there were a only a few restaurants open during the off season. Internet is great but no phone service in the cabin. Absolutely loved it and will be back! Highly recommend

Relaxing River Getaway!
This was exactly what my husband and I were looking for! As soon as we arrived, we could hear the river and knew it would be a good weekend. Perfect location in Tryon—-tucked away on the river but minutes away from restaurants, etc. Clean property, good amenities (my husband loved using the oldschool stove) and awesome porch overlooking the river! Definitely coming again! Take bug spray/citronella candles if you plan to be outside a lot!

A Great Getaway
My husband and I stayed for three nights and absolutely loved it. We went to relax and rest and that's exactly what we did. The property manager was quick to respond when we were trying to figure out the oven. The house has everything you'll need and the screened-in porch with the grill was perfect for enjoying the river and a tasty steak. Oh, and the complimentary free-range eggs were a nice surprise.

Coronacation
We decided to take advantage of both of us working from home and have a get away during the middle of the week. Our two college aged kids needed a break from us, as well. The house was perfect! We loved sitting on the deck by the river all afternoon and during the evening. We enjoyed a fire inside the first night. And the fresh eggs were a super nice gesture! Perfect!

You know how usually the pictures are better than the reality? Not so here. The house looks better than pictured, they have stocked it more thoroughly than they tell you, the views are incredible and that bed is amazing! It was an A+ from the moment I walked through the door. Brownies waiting for us (even though I don't eat brownies, I was impressed) and soft music in the background made us feel welcomed. If you need a weekend away from it all... This is the place. We didn't want to leave. Thank you for a great weekend.
