“Our late summer visit to the Catskill Mountains was very relaxing even with a 2-year-old. The kids enjoyed the pool the most and the property owners provided many pool toys for all. We enjoyed the hot tub also. There was plenty of room. WIFI was spotty, but no one had to work and that forces us to relax. Everyone reported they had a great time. “We had a lovely time relaxing at Maureen’e cottage for the weekend. Sitting in the garden, taking in the mountain view, and listening to the surrounding wildlife was the perfect respite from hectic city life. As artists, we felt right at home among the artwork and vintage treasures around the house. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the Village Diner, and loved exploring the Saugerties Lighthouse Trail - only ten minutes away! Thank you Maureen for a wonderful stay. - Dave and Alie”

“We really enjoyed our stay in Hunter. The house met our needs well for a large family gathering. The hot tub and game room were excellent. Beutiful inside.It is close to shopping and hiking trails in the area. We did a lot of cooking and could have used larger cutting boards and baking/roasting pans. Be aware that the house is right on the main road into Hunter. The pinball machine was frustrating at times because the ball would get stuck.Overall it was a great stay.”

“We had a great stay at this house. The pool was a good size with a deep end. It was really nice to have a pond behind the house. There were several comfortable beds but the trundle was very uncomfortable. The multiple decks were nice. The shampoo and conditioner provided were very nice. Kitchen was lovely and spacious. The house had a little more wear and tear than was evident from the pictures. There was no hammock but there is a picture of one in the listing. The immediate area wasn’t very……

“Communication with host was top notch. The home is beautifully decorated (however probably not young children friendly as furnishings are light and airy, lots of light colors). The pool is wonderful and gets great sun. One caveat, not a good fit if you have mobility issues (I don't, I like the stairs and the exercise! But it would be rough if you have bad knees). I loved the property and I say THANK YOU! Nicely appointed and decorated.”

“The house is best for a small family that can be active and not worry about hurting the interior. The property is pretty especially the open fields across the street where an evening walk is lovely. House was well stocked and comfortable .”

“This was a wonderful place to stay. It was close to town but yet secluded. Everyone had a great time here with the game room and the pool. Be aware there was a bear on the porch at night trying to get the garage cans.”
