We stayed two nights at this property. The first night was fine, but the second night, the smoke alarm went off in our room at 3 a.m. I called the front desk multiple times, and no one answered, so my husband and I finally had to walk down there. No one was at the front desk, so my husband had to walk around trying to find someone. Finally, about 15-20 minutes later, he was able to find the guy who was supposed to be at the desk. But only after he walked back through the staff area in the kitchen. We explained the issue, and the guy tried to tell us, "Sometimes that happens when you have the heat on." We had had the heat on since the first day and knew that was not the issue, so I asked him if he thought he should have it checked out. To which he responds, "What do you want me to do about it? I'm no maintenance man." He agreed to give us a new room, so we moved down the hall to a different room around 4 am. We finally got back to sleep, and the smoke alarm went off in the second room around 6 am!!! Once again, we called the front desk and got no answer after multiple calls. At this point, we weren't going to change rooms for a third time, and it was clear that we would have to search for an employee to help. We also didn't feel safe staying there any longer. I was worried about carbon monoxide poisoning or something like that. So, we got up, packed our stuff, and left. I would not stay here again simply because of how the front desk employee handled the situation.
