「The property was exactly what we were looking for in regards to location and setup. Tucked away in the woods and cozy. We enjoyed the sleeping quarters along with the riverside views provided. The surrounding public hunting was all close and easily reached. The cons we encounterd consisted of no running water due to a frozen pump, the cleanliness was overall okay but we had to wash all the silverware we used.」

「This was our third annual family stay at Derby Lodge. We are a large group, ranging in age from 6 to 85, and everyone loves the house and the lake. We love to swim, fish, kayak, and paddle board. We caught lots of bass and bluegill from the dock and out on the pedal boat. Lake is crystal clear with sandy shallow entry. Not much boat traffic, so kids can swim and paddle safely. 「Our family (3 adults and 3 children) had a wonderful stay here. The house is clean, beautifully designed, and comfortable. The best part was having our own private beach where our young children could play in the sand all day long. Jeremy was very welcoming and prompt answering all our questions. 「The cottage was right on the lake. You could open the blinds and look out to see beautiful lake views. The cottage is clean and cozy. Had a fire pit and dock along with a paddle boat. Perfect for our small family including our little dog. The neighbors were very friendly. It was very quiet. Very calming.」

「Only disappointment was that we couldn’t stay longer. Angie communicated throughout the process-even sending condolences when she found out we were in the area for brother in law’s funeral. Very clean, cozy, and easy to find everything, ie instructions to TV, and house rules. Beautiful view from patio of small lake-moon was full! If ever in the area again, would definitely stay here again :)」

「What a great little place! We had a family wedding in the area and we drove from Iowa and this was the perfect place to stay. My son and his friend drove up from Georgia to stay with us. I didn't realize there was not a TV or even internet! But guess what, we all survived! And we were too busy anyway. The Cracker Box, was neat and tidy, the hosts were the best!!
