Casa Los Griegos
Casa Los Griegos is a great place to stay in Albuquerque. It’s conveniently located, that’s for sure. It’s a 10- to 15-minute drive from the airport; it’s near Old Town and all that Old Town has to offer – history, the plaza, museums and some great restaurants, like the long-popular Season’s and newer Level 5. It’s near downtown, which offers both similar and unique experiences and then some, many of them on Central Street, like the Holocaust and Intolerance Museum of New Mexico – a solemn but worthwhile experience. Ditto for Nob Hill.
If outdoors is your thing, it’s a short trip to Paseo Del Bosque Trail, a 16-mile paved, uninterrupted bicycle/running trail that runs along the Rio Grande. We took a four-mile run on the trail during our stay and really enjoyed our cold and crisp but sunny, peaceful, truly colorful hour.
If you just want to stay home and relax, you’re going to love Casa Los Griegos. From the attached garage, radiant-heated floors, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living area with gas-starter wood-burning fireplace, to the great beds and cleanliness all around, why leave home? Plenty of towels are provided; there’s a washer and dryer in the attached garage. The patio provides a terrific gas grill and a sitting area around a gas-powered fire pit. The home is in a gated (keypad) compound that includes the owner’s home and the home/studio of a local artists. Believe it or not, there’s an actual separate exercise room with very usable equipment: treadmill, elliptical, and several kinds of strength machines. A viewing deck also is easily accessible.
David, the owner, is very responsive, A quick text about something usually receives a quick response. As has been said, he is very professional.
We lived in ABQ for many years, having sold our home several years ago. But we’ve returned to the Duke City a lot of times since we left; Casa Los Griegos has been our best experience.
