“This was a very magical stay for us. My boyfriend and I decided to take a small first time vacation together and I chose Mendocino. The Watertower is both private and accessible. No wheelchairs, so if you're not independently mobile choose somewhere else. The accommodations are minimal but perfect! The private jacuzzi is very powerful and the shower is big enough for two! And they give you terry robes to use while there. The bed was super comfy and they furnished a fan, which is a huge deal……

“The Crab Shack was perfect for us. We had relatives and friends drop by while we stayed there. We had plenty of room with the couch and the recliner to visit, along with the kitchen table to eat at. The place was immaculately clean. Prior to our arrival I called the office and left a VM, Carlon called me back and answered my questions and was very friendly. We would absolute do this again!!! ”

The home is right on a cliff but has a great fence - we felt our busy 4-year-old granddaughter was safe then entire time (there is also a gate to close off access to the highway). “When we checked in we noticed the bed was a queen instead of a king as promised by their listing. When mentioned, the host promised she’d update the listing. We were lucky to have found this property as we were staying there during the recent deluge of rain. The property has a generator that came on automatically 3 times due to community power outages. In fact, the host was able to extend our stay as we were unable to continue due to widespread road closures. The property was small and cozy, but……
