What a shock to find out you don't have a hotel rooom in the middle of high season. He said someone should have called us to let us know. We did not get that call. He said we could go across the street to the Captain Hook Hotel for a room, which is owned by the same owner. We went there and they offered us a room for a higher rate than I had booked at the……

“I stayed in Anchorage as my launch point to Denali and Seward/Kenai Fjords. It was good to be able to extend my stay and book the female dorm last minute in the days in between my trips. The manager, John, splits his time between the midtown location and downtown, and I found he was the most helpful in booking my transportation and the Kenai Fjords cruise. Overall staff were friendly and keep the place tidy despite how many ppl were staying there. It is a budget hostel and nothing fancy here.……
