“Our stay in the Azalea house was quite pleasant. The house was just the right size for 2. We enjoyed sitting out on the little porch watching the squirrels. Also enjoyed the swing on the property overlooking the bayou. Lots of trees in the property made it feel like we were out in the country. Would definitely recommend. ”

“My husband and I booked this stay for the weekend we came into town for my best friend’s wedding! The property was in the cutest neighborhood with houses similar to our stay on both sides of the street. We saw people riding their bikes and walking their dogs throughout our stay. “We came with the kids and the dog for Thanksgiving break. We picked this house because it said it was on the water and 2.5 acres. It did not disappoint! The dog loved having all that room to run and fetch. The kids loved that there was a kayak rental on site and were able to kayak down the river. I was able to watch them from the comfort of the lounger in the house. It’s also conveniently located a short drive or walk from almost everywhere we needed to go. “This was our 2nd time staying hete while visiting family and we will always stay here moving forward. Perfect location and peaceful. Missed the frogs singing to us, must be toocold in November fir them. ”

“Beautiful house very nicely done inside with lovely finishes and plenty of space. The master does not have an attached bathroom but it is not a big deal the bathroom is close and well done so totally worth it. The kitchen is lovely with great appliances and a huge island and the wi-fi works great. The TV does not have cable or satellite just streaming but it works great and we just logged in to our own accounts. The lot is huge with large beautiful trees, plenty of parking, very quiet at the end……

“We stayed at Chateau Royale over the Thanksgiving holidays to visit family. It came highly recommended to us from our family nearby. The experience was better than great. The chateau is clean and cleverly Cajun style with a giant back patio overlooking the bayou (not the prettiest water but that’s no fault of the chateau). Next time we go to New Iberia we will first check on Chateau Royale’s availability. ”

“A friend and I came to town for a tennis tournament. I ended having to come in last minute from New Orleans for a 8 am match. The owner was super accommodating and let us check in early. The house is great and just a few minutes walk from all the places downtown. Just a great place to stay when visiting Lafayette. Would definitely stay there again. ”

“It was the perfect location and we enjoyed the area. Kids enjoyed the opportunity to observe Cajun country. ”

“This is a very cool place that has everything. This getaway place is near the city but feels like it is at a campground. We loved the 2 different houses and the outdoor area with the firepit. It has plenty of parking, space to relax and 2 kitchens that has ample supplies. Check-in and out was convenient as well. We brought some extra chairs and enjoyed sitting by the river which was nice. I'd definitely recommend staying here to enjoy some rest & relaxation. ”
