And the bathroom, though private, was one floor down and not lockable from the outside so anyone could also use it. But robes were provided for privacy and the bathroom was large and very clean. ”

“Richard was a great host though there were quite a lot of strict rules sent before fhe stay and during which made us feel a bit on edge! Felt a bit like someone had let us stay in their home rather than we were paying guests. But the house is immaculate and grand so I can see why care is needed. The area is very quiet and theres not alot in the nighbouring towns. Probably Alnwick a 15-20 min drive away is your biggest town. You need to be self carering but kitchens well equipped. Comfortable……
