Matinloc Island 3 Stars Hotels

"Oh, my. Where to begin? If I could give 6 stars for service, I would. I arrived early on my first day, tired after a long flight to Manila from the US and from Manila to El Nido. I was immediately greeted with a smile and the option to check in early, which was amazing. From there, it just got better. Noud, Jennifer, Mimi and the rest of the crew are all fantastic, warm, hospitable people. Very attentive and always smiling. The room was great, spotless and bright. The breakfast was amazing, with Filipino, Continental, or savory options. They take care of everything for you, book rides to Nacpan, island hopping tours, or help you get to Vanilla beach. We had dinner at the hotel one night after a long day and it was really yummy too (and very inexpensive). On our last day we were leaving early and they had breakfast and a tricycle ready for the airport by the time we went down. Truly amazing, all of them. The town is a short walk away, but not in the super touristy area, which for us was a plus. They are building a pool, so it will get even better from here. Keep up the good work, and thanks for making our stay memorable!"

"So - I remember booking this reservation mainly because of the property being right on the water and the beautiful pool & hot tub. Man, did it not disappoint!! Especially rm 202, I would soo book that room or ocean front - anytime, because...WOW!! The view as soon as you open the curtains, was breathtaking and I NEVER got tired of the View! The STAFF were soooo Friendly, Informative, Accommodating and just great! They picked us up and even helped me find a parking lot for the Car Rental. (Which is great to have but parking is tough). Great Meals and Breakfast's, and I'm usually not a breakfast person but in Paradise, vacation and the energy of the area, made me want to wake up and start my day early and to have options for Breakfast was Awesome! My gf and I had a great time! Only Suggestion - Making it more able to get to and from the downtown area as the walk to and from can be a bit much after a tiring day of tours and heat and at night. It wasn't bad, about 10 min walk to and from. Yes, most people rent a Motor bike and can go to and from faster, which i would suggest and probably also get next time..but having 2 vehicle rentals was a bit much. But for pickup and drop off with luggage, the staff was VERY accommodating! Overall: I loved it! Beautiful spot, quiet - peaceful but also had just what we needed and beautiful rooms. Definitely book them again!"

" My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. The resort itself is located in a very convenient location to all the restaurants while not being immediately in the town center. We enjoyed the massages at their spa and the staff were very helpful in arranging our tours and transportation. The rooms were cozy and comfortable and ours even included a small personal pool or jacuzzi. We would be happy to stay here again. "

"This place is beautiful. The staff was amazing, very kind and friendly. They do everything they can to help you however they can. Our hut or housing was very nice and on the porch was 2 comfortable chairs and a hammock which was a very nice touch. Some people were saying that the water for showers were cold and my girl did too, but i just left it running for a couple minutes and it heated right up and stayed that way. They do have scooter rentals and free rides into town but to get to the resort is pretty wild. Overall 10/10 experience. "

"Small 12 room resort with beautiful bungalows and great views of the pinnacles of El Nido. Gorgeous sunsets! Staff were extremely attentive, dining options were great and several other restaurants available right from our beach that were great culinary options. A quick tricycle trip for $2.50CDN gets you into the town of El Nido with some shopping and restaurant options as well as great dive shops. Rooms were beautiful but bed was very hard. Thanks to Joel for treating us like family. "
