“We had a lovely view from the front of our room to the center of Matera. Excellent room with spa. The front desk provided the hints where to go and what to do. Overall it was an excellent experience. ”

“Nun ja. Als wir vor etwa 12 Jahren schon im Albergo Italia genächtigt haben waren wir begeistert. Die riesige Terrasse der King Suite (Zi 115) mit Blick über die Sassi hat uns begeistert. Man hat sich damals gut vorstellen können, dass Mel Gibson während der Dreharbeiten zur „Passion Christi“ hier gewohnt hat. Aber Matera hat sich verändert. Unzählige Privatzimmer und B&B‘s sind entstanden und man kann sich bei dieser Auswahl heute kaum noch vorstellen, dass sich jemand mehr als nur eine Nacht……

“Struttura un po’ “vecchia” le camere hanno poca luce (entra unicamente dalla porta di ingresso). Comunque comoda e pulita. L’insieme (struttura piscina ecc) molto bella. Comunque dovessi visitare nuovamente la zona, tornerei volentieri nella Masseria”

“I recommend the hotel. very nice service. breakfast very simple but tasty (e.g. cofee or tea, toast, cheese, salami, sweet croissants, corn flakes and milk); Beautiful garden and view from the balcony. there are no hotels around so there is peace and quiet. We slept in the room "PRIMULA". Rooms very large and pleasant. Bunk bed for children. on a scale of 0 to 10 a further 9 points. We came across a very windy period so the wind blew a lot. But I highly recommend the Hotel. The ladies from the……

“Convenient location on side of Autostrada but not well signed so easy to miss turn off. Sterile atmosphere but room and bed ok. Dinner in hotel restaurant was basic. Breakfast items seemed to run out quickly and were reluctantly replaced. Biggest problem was complete lack of hot water which the hotel did not tell us about at check in.”
