“This is a wonderful property. A classic architectual gem meets modernity. I read some of the negative comments and was baffled. Ticky-tack travelers who like to whine I assume. For the price, you will not find elegance and superb service like this anywhere in the country. Kudos to all at the Pere. Thank you.”

“The Italian restaurant is AMAZING. Breakfast was a let down, not that many options and pretty expensive. Better off going out for breakfast. Room was clean, but shower was not pleasant because of very high water pressure.”

“at the last minute, they were going to allow me to book at another Marriott due to other family members being at another location, but they upgraded us to a one bedroom suite plus them having a free breakfast entice me to stay and was well worth it! Very friendly staff!!!”

“Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Linens and towels smelled amazing! Quiet, other than some street noise. Very tall windows which were unable to be covered completely so room was not dark at night. Bed was too hard for my liking. Nobody was at front desk at all during our stay. Keys were left on front counter in an envelope. A bit of a safety issue in my opinion. No deadbolt on door of room, just a small flip lock.”

“Hotel has a beautiful carved maple lobby, beautiful view of the illinois river & friendlt and accomodating staff. Rooms are nice. Some of the hallways etc could use some updating. Nice and quiet with excellent complimentary coffee in the mornings. Irish pub within walking distance as well as excellent pizza at Hoops Pizza and beer. Also located next to I 74 with wasy access”

“This house is listed as having 5 different bedrooms with 9 available beds. I booked this for 9 work colleagues and I, and when we show up at the house there is only 5 beds. To make the matter worse the home and all the bedroom furniture is literally falling apart, the dishwasher does not work, and the host failed to communicate with me when asking for the checkout instructions. Overall this was an awful experience. ”
