“Très agréable séjour, calme et confortable avec une diversité d'oiseaux et autres singes à observer depuis le restaurant en dégustant un copieux petit déjeuner bref de quoi bien commencer la journée ! Le personnel est très accueillant, toujours souriant et aux petits soins en particulier Randall qui est très arrangeant et m'a laissé l'opportunité de garder la chambre quelques heures de plus pour attendre un taxi. Je recommande !”

“We had an excellent stay at the lodge and enjoyed the food a lot. You really have to take the dirt road on the right like indicated otherwise you'll go through Monterverde, it will be much longer and the road after a while won't be better.”

“We stayed for one night in chalet no.1 and loved it. The property is well appointed and pretty isolated with a lovely outlook over the Gulf of Nicoya. Being close to the River Tárcoles and Carara NP, there is plenty of wildlife and we saw scarlet macaws flying overhead in the evening. Laura met us at the entrance and showed us round our chalet which was clean and quite luxurious with two large beds, kitchenette, large bathroom with pleasant, natural views yet private and secluded, and a patio……

“Wonderful staff! They made us feel so at home and helped us book all the activities we wanted to do while visiting monteverde. The rooms do get a bit hot because there are no ac units - just one rotating fan per room. The bathroom also had a rough smell because there were no vents inside of it. But if you are looking for an affordable, safe and welcoming stay, this is definitely a wonderful pick!!”

“Lovely staff and really well kept, if admittedly spartan, facilities. The breakfasts are great and the location is within easy walking distance of one of the town's best sodas. The staff are excellent at managing expeditions and tours as well. Finally, while the bed was small and the hot water did flicker, the room held a real charm to it nestled among the trees. A good place to stay.”
