"This was my first ryokan visit so take what I say with a grain of salt. First, the staff was very accommodating and nice. Their English was limited but they went out of their way to make sure we were welcome including coming to our room to show us how to set up our futon. Dinner was amazing with so many items. "We stayed here with elderly parents. It’s very close from the station and easy to find. The man (sorry I didn’t get his name) at check-in was extremely thorough in explaining everything and friendly yet professional. We had a private bath in our room, but mainly visited the main baths. I didn’t realize they had this “Radon onsen” which had many health benefits. The dinner was HUGE and amazing. The breakfast was just was good. The service was great, too. The coffee in the lobby was also great....

"We arrived earlier than expected, but the room was ready for us and they were happy to check us in. the place is very clean and comfortable. I asked about the rooftop "patio" and he set up a table and chairs for us up there. We could sit and relax in the sun and enjoy the view of the mountains."
