"I love the traditional tatami rooms here. The ‘Bekkan’ is an annex and based in an older building that is charmingly done. It has its own baths, but you have access to the bigger and outdoor baths at the main building a block away. We hadn’t ticked the dinner box when reserving. Dining options in this town may be somewhat limited as most onsen inns serve meals inside. The restaurants fill up. We ordered the dinner when we arrived. It is a bit pricey, but is a all you can eat buffet with Japanese, Chinese and som western options. The drinks are included as well. The rooms were authentic and the baths excellent. This whole town is duper charming and fun to explore. "

"Such a great stay. The location is near to both the bus station and the train station. The room is very well equipped and clean. There is also a lounge where you can hang out during the stay. Check in staff was so nice and got us a room upgrade. Would definitely be back here when we visit Yufuin again"

"Wonderful experience for our family trip. Staff are kind , considering, and organizing. The place itself is very clean, authentic, and unique in terms of architecture of the building and facilities. I would love to revisit it. "

"My only complaint is the road to get to the container villa is so obviously made for a one way but the kurokawa onsen village decided that traffic can struggle to figure out who has the right of way and reverse in the middle of the road… very dangerous but any who.. The actual container villa was such a vibe from the moment I pulled into the parking lot. So convenient that they had signs pointing to where I needed to go to check in and instructions in both the email and the tablet used to check in. They even had english available. Not to mention they had Louis Armstrong playing in the parking lot which gave me such a nostalgic feeling. Very wholesome experience. The kurokawa onsen area is such a quaint vibe combined with the villa’s modern take on a nostalgic past time in America. 10/10 experience. I would definitely revisit! "
