「We stayed for 12! Days it was so good. Beautiful property in the heart of North Yorkshire - amazing selection of breakfast. Clean rooms and family-run, friendly service. Sometimes we had to ask repeatedly for clean towels - and we don’t change them everyday. Beds were old and could use updating for comfort. Otherwise - would highly recommend! 」

「The room had a four poster bed and we had amazing views of the hills. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We decided to have our evening meal in the hotel. We had the garlic and chicken schnitzel with gnocchi, and the steak and venison pie. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and we recommend them. Portion sizes were just right for us. We shared the cheese board for two which was very good too. Breakfast was to order and we both had the full English. There was a lot of other choices...

「Our 1st time at this hotel. We had a lovely 1 night stay. The staff were very friendly, room was lovely. We ate in the restaurant on the night and the food was excellent. We will definitely return.」

「Arrived over an hour before standard check-in and room was ready. Lovely, large room in a cottage by the river with free parking. Staff Lovely & friendly. Got back just before 11pm and was able to get more milk for a late brew. Only grumble, not enough milk left in the first place. Loved our Eggs Royale for breakfast. 11am check out is just right. Would reccomend.」

「This hotel was fabulous. A lovely room with a fantastic view. Nothing was too much trouble for the proprietors. A lovely breakfast to start the day. We were lucky that when we got back to the hotel after our friends daughters wedding reception we were treated to live folk music in a well stocked bar. A lovely relaxing end to a delightful day」

「The stag were extremely welcoming, warm and friendly. The room was a very good size with a modern en-suite bathroom. The evening meal menu had a varied selection for all tastes and the quality of food was excellent, being very well cooked and presented. Breakfast was high quality local produce with a large serving. 「Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar. Water pressure in room #5 very poor but clean a pleasant bathroom. No mobile service but that is obviously not The Maypole’s fault!」

「Really enjoyed our stay ..easy to find..off road private parking..the hotel is very welcoming nicely decorated and clean...the bar is a good size and well stocked..the room was large with plenty of storage and room to sit and read or study..the bathroom had a bath with shower and toilet.. plenty of hot water..the bed was very comfy and sheets were fresh and clean..The breakfast was amazing with everything you could want and plenty of it.Only 10 mins walk into town along the canal which runs...

「Just the most quaint and beautiful setting! Very well kept property and grounds. The pub dining area couldn't be more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful and a young woman named Jess was particularly delightful and helpful. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Just a short drive over to Grassington which is must!」

「First time stopping here, beautiful location, very friendly/ warm welcome , the room is 4/5 star, lovely decoration , everything you need , extremely clean and comfy bed, dined in the restaurant for evening meal and the food was huge portion and delicious, I had the steak and ale pie, my colleague the Steak , both plates polished off .i tend to go for hotel chains normally but stopping at the Ribchester arms has certainly opened my eyes to something better, without doubt if I get the chance...
