For the price it was a great deal. My bathroom was a little dirty with toothpaste splattered on the bathroom mirror and the sill dusty. But no sign of bugs. The mattress was comfortable.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!! This was the worst hotel stay of my life. Actually, it is more of a motel with each room opening directly outside. The room was dirty, the blow dryer started on fire, and I was traumatized by the BAD LANGUAGE, FIGHTING, and LOUD SEXUAL ACTIVITY taking place in the next room throughout the night. I felt so unsafe, violated, and sleep deprived after being woken up repeatedly during the night that I checked out in the morning and found someplace else to stay. The assistant manager was rude and blamed me for my bad experience since I didn't walk outside in the middle of the night to report the situation to hotel staff. This was not a safe location to stay!

Front desk made me feel uncomfortable, room was gross and not what was advertised, blood stains on pullout sofa mattress, no sheets for pullout, room was literally falling apart. Asked for at least a partial refund and then refused. 0/10

Convenient to Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William & Mary. Older property with some charm. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable with a fridge and microwave. Would stay there again.

The front desk staff is very well dressed. She was very kind! The lobby was beautiful. Very historical. The carpet in the room needed updating. The room smelled musty, but I bought some baking soda and put in our room and it helped tremendously. The bed was comfortable. Probably the best sleep I have ever gotten in a hotel. The sheets were clean and crisp. The bathroom was nice and clean. There was shampoo, conditioner and soap in the bathroom as well as a hair dryer. The phone didn't work and most of the lights didn't work. The bulbs may have been burned out. The heat/AC is central so whatever they have it set on in the office is what you get. It was hot for us in our room in March but the front desk loaned us a fan and the was perfect. It was a quiet area of town so it was safe and quiet. The Continental breakfast was toast, oatmeal, cereal and muffins. So if you are diabetic plan on eating somewhere else. The Pancake House next door is delicious but our bill was $50 for two adults. That tends to be the norm in the Williamsburg area. Overall it wasn't bad, but I didn't book the room to hang out in the room It was a safe and comfortable place to sleep. I definitely got what I paid for.

Very cute, peaceful. Great for the price. Didn't enjoy Williamsburg that much, but that's not the hotels fault. However. Many of their appliances were out dated. The fridge was missing pieces. The microwave tended to not work. Some basic repairs and updated appliances would have made this place perfect.

Within walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg
My mom and I stayed here just to visit Colonial Williamsburg. It was the perfect fit for us! It was about a 15 min leisurely stroll from the hotel to Duke of Gloucester Street (the main drag). There is a sidewalk most of the way however, part of the sidewalk is on the side of the road going over a bridge, and there were two spots close together where you have to use a crosswalk. My mom and I felt perfectly safe walking to and from Duke of Gloucester St even at night, but the flashlight on my phone was definitely necessary at night. Also be aware that once you use both crosswalks there is a stretch of sidewalk with large tree roots so it will be difficult with a traditional stroller, and I’m not sure transportation for handicapped visitors will really work. As to the hotel: the lady who checked us in was very friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. They didn’t really have room service where you call the front desk and they bring you something, but there was a list of nearby restaurants to order from. The continental breakfast was quite lacking, but at least there was something. All in all, if you want a nicely priced place to stay for the night within walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg this is the place to stay. If you don’t mind driving (which would include paying for parking) and want to be at a nice hotel I would keep looking. My mom and I were happy I picked this hotel and plan staying here again the next time we want to visit Colonial Williamsburg.

It was fine
I’ve stayed here a few times. It’s not my number one location as it seems like there are people that live there, but it was adequate. I didn’t really trust the cleanliness of the unit and I didn’t like the shower or bathroom. The entire place could stand to have an update, but Other than that I didn’t have any problems. I did not see any bugs or dust or anything so egregious it would stop me from staying there again. It was fine. One last thing I didn’t like was the fact that the entire complex did not have the heat turned on so I had to go to the front desk and get a space heater. 😡
