“Very friendly staff in this pub with rooms located in a peaceful village setting outside the hustle and bustle of Whitby. Very good food, brilliant breakfast and a grand pot of tea. Local doorstep walks and a super walk into Whitby for those fit and active. A great find. Hope to visit again.”

“Brilliant place to stay in, parking close by if you want to pay! Although they do give you a parking permit for the zones near by if you can find a space. Really convenient for a walk down to the harbour/beach ”

“We really enjoyed our stay but found the cleaning timetable below expectations. We like to relax after lunch but our room was not cleaned until after 3pm which meant that we had to arrange our activities around the hotel schedule rather than the other way round. When we asked there appeared to be no flexibility in the cleaning schedule .”

“The accommodation was lovely and although in the town centre was still quiet & hidden away. Staff very all very helpful. Large room with sitting area too and a large bathroom. ”

“There will be free ticket for whitby abbey. The building is nice and historical. Many facilities for guests to use. I like the drinking water the most. A bit difficult to find the entrance and the 199 steps to hostel is without light at night. It is a bit dangerous if you back to hostel late at night as you can't see the steps. The breakfast is very tasty and many different choices to choose.”

“It's a stunning location right on the beach, and it's a short walk over the headland or round the bay, to Robin Hood's Bay. Wonderful staff. Excellent breakfast. Clean room. Super cafe bar. Relaxing seaside decor It's a gem. ”
