Disorganized and Unpleasant Stay
I recently stayed at the Washington Hilton DC, and my experience was far below expectations. The stay was riddled with issues, starting with a parking pass that didn’t work as described and breakfast not being included, despite being advertised otherwise.
The most frustrating part of my stay was being locked out of my room on New Year’s Day because the hotel failed to link my two-night reservation. I had called ahead to confirm this, and my Hilton Honors app showed both nights were linked. However, the front desk insisted the reservations were separate and placed the blame on me instead of addressing their internal miscommunication.
There was no effort to notify me of the issue before locking me out. To add to the inconvenience, I was escorted by security to retrieve my credit card for another deposit, even though I had already paid at check-in. This was both humiliating and unnecessary.
As a frequent traveler and loyal Hilton Honors member, I was deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and accountability. I expected better service and communication. I cannot recommend this property and would advise others to look for alternatives that value their guests’ experience.
