The Park Hyatt is a great hotel in a lovely neighborhood, and with a terrific pool. Service was uniformly excellent. But it has held on to the irritating habit (now abandoned by most top hotels, especially in European cities) of having a minibar that, if you move an object (say, to cool the bottle of room-temperature water that is provided to guests) you are immediately charged. In my case,$49, which I happened to notice on my electronic checkout. The woman at the front desk kindly removed it from my bill, but it’s a nuisance that guests shouldn’t have to deal with. There is a notice in the room that a refrigerator could be provided at request, but I don’t want a whole refrigerator just to cool a single bottle of water.
